Well kept beautiful site

I agree with previous reviews regarding how well set out and clean the site is. We stopped for 3 nights from the 6th March. Public footpath to take the dog is about a 10 minute strole from the site this worked well when we stayed as no sheep were in the fields on that path but this could change and would restrict any chance of letting the dog off the lead on a morning/night as otherwise you are walking along the narrow roads. We found no reception for O2 mobile phones on site and very poor TV reception (although our set is getting on a bit...) but otherwise I would say this is about as good a site as you will find. Great location, pleasant and very helpfull owners. Recommended.

Superb!

A spacious, well maintained site with wonderful views & a very friendly & helpful owner. It is in a really quiet location with great walks from the site (thanks to Brian who lent us their extensive walking file). We loved it so much we are going back in three weeks time!!

More stars?

I would add extra stars to review of this site if they were available! Was blown away by how beautiful a spot this site is. Views are magnificent and the site is spacious and spotless. So much to do in the area that we shall have to return!

Just perfect

This is a lovely CL in every respect. If you enjoy walking and sightseeing in the yorkshire dales you will not find a better site and location. We stayed over the weekend 7th and 8th of Nov and enjoyed it so much we are returning again next weekend. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Wellock for providing such a well thought out site in this lovely area.

Brilliant CL

Outstanding site, quiet, excellent facilities. Even a picnic bench for each pitch. Only got in because of a cancellaton! Did try to extend our stay but they were full.

FABULOUS!!

Wow! Stayed at a few CL sites during the summer but this one tops them all!! Everything about this site is Fabulous, good access roads to it, brilliant pitches with lots of room, added bonus of showers/toilet facilities which are immaculate, a friendly warm welcome from Mrs Wellock who is on hand when needed but lets you get on with your holiday, and moving on to the location of this jewel....stunning, peaceful and quite honestly one of the nicest places we have been to and we've been around...we will undoubtedly be back again and TBH I can't wait!

Wonderful

Stunning location, great welcome, excellent site and facilities Seat House is, IMO up there as one of the top 5 CL's in the UK.  Mrs Wellock is very welcoming and is a mine of information on the area and it's wildlife.  This is one place we will return to time and again

Brilliant

This is a very quiet site about 2.25 miles from the village of Gargrave and the main A65 Kendal to Skipton (6 miles). Lovely scenery, quiet and peaceful, lovely owners and even the other campers were all extremely pleasant and considerate! Only cattle, sheep, nature and the owners mower break the peace and quiet. The site is well laid out with a circular track leading to each of the very spacious pitches with hardstanding. The same arrangement applies to a second field separated and unseen from the first. Water, electricity and rubbish recycling is available on each of the fields although chemical emptying is at the farm buildings along with the immaculate shower and toilet block. With the Dales and all their attractions on the doorstep there is plenty to see and do.  This is a great site for those wanting beautiful scenery, gorgeous C.l. and total relaxation but book early the sites are both full and nobody has moved off all this week.  We've just spent two weeks there and look forward to returning despite rain nearly everyday. Highly recommended!

Fantastic site

This site is an absolute delight. Set on a working farm, deep in the country, yet handy for visits to town and country. We absolutely loved our week long stay and will return again. Note there is very limited mobile phone signal, no internet and limited TV reception. There is also a bit of a walk to get to the toilet and shower block. For us this is not a problem and added to the peace and quiet. The only thing that disturbed the quiet were the cows, sheep, birds and the occasional tractor!. One of the best sites we have stayed on.
