Lovely site for dry conditions
Considering how close the site is to the M11 and Stansted Airport, it's incredibly quiet with just a bit of aircraft noise in the evening. Each pitch has EHU and water tap, with grey waste going straight into the hedge.
The only problem we had was the mud. We visited at the end of March, when the area had seen quite a lot of rain. Pitches are hardstanding, but access from the drive is across sloping grass. The owner has put some mesh under the grass with small white markers to show where the edges are, but our 2 wheel drive car struggled even after we'd unhooked the van. Thankfully Michael and his 4x4 were on hand to get us pitched.
Being on the Essex/Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire borders, there is plenty to do in the area & we found some lovely footpaths to walk. Highly recommend the Thai food at Ananta (former Coach & Horses pub) in the next village.
We would be happy to return, but only after a sustained spell of dry weather!
