Almost perfect

I stayed here for one night as a stop off along the M6. It was perfect for that. The owners have clearly taken a lot of time and trouble to keep the site so well and seem to have thought of everything. As a woman travelling alone I felt very safe here. There is a busy road and traffic noise but obviously that can't be helped. One of the best CLs definitely.

What a fab little site!

Our friends and ourselves (2 Motorhome) used this fab little site as a 1 night stop over. Can’t fault it. Beautifully kept, lovely modern and spotless shower/toilet facilities, great shop and every assistance by Deborah and Martin. This takes CLs to another level. Thank you and we’ll done. Just be aware it’s right on the A34 which is a bit noisy but it quietens at night and didn’t spoil our good sleep.

Sets the standard for CLs

Stayed for one night en-route North. Selected purely for it's location close to our chosen route from Kent to the Lake District. It is a CL gem. Well thought out site with well spaced, sizeable pitches. All areas were well maintained. The only aspect preventing a perfect score was the adjacent main road - A34. Some may find this a concern. For us it was a bonus, having an easy access for a 7.5m motorhome with an a-framed towed car and only a minor detour off the M6. Will return on our next trip north and on our intended return to explore Cannock Chase.

What a fantastic site

We have just spent a few days at Spring Paddock and what a fantastic place. The site is accessed easilly from the A34 and is well presented and maintained by Martin and Deborah. The facilties block is spotless and a joy to use. The pitch we were given was one of the largest we have stayed on. It was the first time we had stayed on a metered pitch and was a good experiment to see what our normal usage was. We only used 8 out of the 10 included units per day without any adjustment to our usual living. The calmness of the site was enhanced by the amusing ducks that would wander around before eventually being directed back into their field where they live on the pond. There were two lovely donkeys and few sheep with a lamb in the paddock that also added to the overall peacefulness we enjoyed. This was our first time at a CL site and we are converted. We are planning to return for a longer stay next time. This is the standard by which all others will be judged against now. We'll done and keep up the good work.

Excellent site

This is a well organised CL site just a few metres off the A34 between Cannock and Stafford. It is well situated for Cannock Chase. This site is immaculate and well thought out as the result of the owners’ personal caravan and motorhome experiences. The pitches are spacious with their own wooden chairs with integral table. Besides having the normal facilities there is even separate dog and cycle wash facilities. Although we didn’t use them the site toilets and showers are absolutely immaculate and well kept. Enclosed dog field, friendly donkeys and a small lake with delightful inquisitive ducks. Excellent hosts who are always available if you need them. The site is a credit to both Martin and Deborah. There are still things for us still to do in the area and on our return, we will be definitely using this site as a base.

Perfection at Spring Meadow.

Just had 10 nights at Spring Meadow. The best site you could wish for, great pitches and facilities, all spotless. The fields with pond and ducks, plus the Donkey field seem to make everything so relaxed. Martin and Debbie are the perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. Just wish dog owners could read the signs which say clearly 'dogs on a lead at all times'. No fault of the hosts, just some people seem so ignorant.

Best CL site we have ever been to.

We have just had our first visit to Spring Paddock CL, in mid-May 2023. We like CL sites in general as they are just so much "cosier". With a fully capable motorhome (Zerfiro 696), no more children, and a love of walking, we also find they have just the facilities and local walks that we desire. But this site is something else! Martin and Deborah clearly just love making this site what it is. There is real pride displayed here. Everything is done in detail, down to the constantly changing joke cards in the immaculate, warm, welcoming, toilet block (with showers). As a CL it has only 5 pitches so there is just one toilet/shower/wash-basin for men and one for women, but honestly, it's more than enough bearing in mind some CLs don't have any such facilities. There are plenty of walks in the area through Cannock Chase, and beyond. For National Trust enthusiasts Shugborough Estate is literally 10-15 minutes drive up the road. We have given it "5" for absolutely everything but we should mention here the "peace and tranquility" for balance. It is only to indicate that you will find yourself right the other side of a hedge from a busy main road (hence the ease of arrival!!) which you will possibly notice at night. It didn't worry us in the least, as very few sites have absolute tranquility, *and* ease of arrival. Think about it! If you are talking about the peace and tranquility of the site overall and the surrounding area, you will be more than happy. There are just so many touches of detail in this wonderful, wonderful CL site. Whatever is the standard beyond "Gold", this site has it.

Best yet

Martin and Deborah have set the gold standard here, if all CL’s were this good, there would have to be far more of them and the Club sites would have no visitors! Access is very straightforward, just off the A34. Deborah welcomed us personally with an information pack and talked us through the facilities. Pitches are well spaced, the grass is kept very tidy, and there’s an enclosed dog exercise area right next to the CL field with toys provided, an absolute boon for dog owners. Each pitch has its own EHU bollard and even its own little picnic table and chairs for two so you can have a picnic right outside your van. Currently 3 units of electricity per night are included in the pitch fee which seems fair. And the toilets and showers…well… these would put many a boutique hotel to shame. Beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and sweet smelling, separate ladies’ and gents’, and the showers are free! The only downside is the traffic noise from the A34 right alongside, this is a very busy road with a 60mph limit which is fully utilised, and we were woken up every morning by rush hour traffic. I’m not deducting any marks for this because otherwise the CL is outstanding and we intend to become regular visitors as we have family in the area. Keep up the good work guys!

Immaculate Site and Friendly Owners

We stayed for 4 nights over the coronation weekend. The site is well maintained and has exceptional toilet and shower block which were lovely and clean. The water and waste area are clean and tidy as was the bin area. The electric is metered but we found we had sufficient electricity without having to top up, although we did not need to use the caravan heater. Free WI-FI is useful and good. The large dog walking area is good as is the wildlife area. Great base for exploring Cannock Chase and easy access to both Cannock and Stafford. We will stay at this site again.

Very tidy and well maintained

Lovely site. Showers are free and very good. Everything very clean. WiFi is good (free). Helpful owners. Just a couple of downsides: there is rather a lot of noise from the adjoining A road. Electric is metered and seems to be charged at rather a high rate; it cost us an extra £5 per day (weather was unusual cool for April). Three units per day are included in the pitch fee, but this would only cover bare essentials, not heating.
