Well cared for site but.........

We have just left this site and it is mostly as described by other members in their reviews. It is a lovely site but does suffer from traffic noise as it is right along side the A34. I would even go as far as saying the little toilet and shower block is exceptional, better than a lot of peoples homes! But the thing that lets it down in my opinion it is run rather like a main CAMC site. I was asked not to leave my car on the grass but to put it in the car park behind the reception, I have a very capable modern 4x4 which would cause minimal damage in most weather conditions i was the only caravan there all the other units were motorhomes. Also having to be off the site by 11:00, I can accept 12:00 but most CL's are flexible about this and often allow much later. Then finally my son asked if he could leave his motorhome in the car park so he could cycle for the day on the Chase as otherwise he pays for 2 nights and only gets 1 day there, and this was refused.

Best Kept CL site we have Visited

Just returned from a 3 night motorhome stay at Spring Paddock - In short , best kept CL we have stayed on ever. The Owners have invested in providing excellent facilities and keep busy maintaining them to the highest standards - everything neat and clean, everything you could ever ask for, or expect, on a CL site, - A site I think they are rightfully proud of and it shows. Good Access , a few hundred yards walk onto the Chase , and a Bus stop virtually outside - even a rental car available on site ( not During Covid 19 restrictions) - they seem to have thought of it all.

Extremely, well appointed CL

Having been members of the Caravan and Motorhome club for a number of years and choosing to stay, primarily, at CL sites, we can honestly say that this site is by far the best appointed location we have ever frequented! Facilities include: 1. brand new and spotlessly clean ladies and gents shower and washroom 2. excellent Wifi and TV reception 3. dog walking paddock including dog toys and poo bags 4. wildlife area and pond 5. hard standing pitches 6. covid-19 safety measures - hand sanitisers at key points around the site and individual refuse bins 7. small shop selling supplies and home laid eggs 8.extra long hose allowing motorhome fill up on pitch rather than having to move to top tanks up. Deborah and Martin are extremely welcoming and friendly and go that extra mile to keep everything spotless . All features that make your stay comfortable have been thought of. We will definitely be back.

Lovely New CL

Martin and Deborah were very welcoming. The site had been fairly well waterlogged with the recent flooding but Martin ensured we could pitch up even though this was on the car park which was no problem at all. Facilities are excellent and there is more to come soon (showers and toilets). Lovely dog exercise field complemented with water bowl, toy station and poop station with poop bags. Great location next to Cannock Chase and there is a shop, petrol station, farm shop and two pubs nearby. The site is quite close to the A34 which was a little noisy at peak times. Unfortunately the WiFi wasn't working due to a change-over but as 4G was available, this wasn't a problem. The site quotes that TV reception is 'Fair' but we managed to get the most stations we have ever had on our Freeview TV

Freindly & Helpful

Had just one night at Spring Paddock with Martin & Deborah whilst picking up a new motorhome from GoEuropean, freindly, helpful beyond belief and went the extra mile when we had a couple of problems, site is really well laid out, clean & tidy and there is also the option of using a courtesy car if required, route to and from GoEuropean is really easy.

Excellent CL Site

What can we say about one of the best CL sites we have been on, owned by Martin and Debora Warner, they were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them to make our stay most enjoyable. The access is easy and has good barrier security. A choice of hard standing or grass pitch is available. WiFi and EHU. Also a brilliant enclosed dog field. A little road noise but it didn't bother us at all. Cannock Chase ls close by full of wildlife and walks. Stafford, Cannock, Rugeley and Penkridge all a short drive away so plenty to do in the area. We went for meals at the Chetwyn Arms just down the road which we thoroughly enjoyed and recommend. We will most certainly be back to this CL Site.

Super New CL

We’ve just returned home after an overnight stay at Spring Paddock and as we wanted to stay close to Go European Motorhome Dealers this CL was ideal only 15 mins away. The owners have done a excellent job in creating this new CL, it has everything you need for a great stay. On arrival we met Deborah who explained the facilities and gave us a choice of hard standing pitches on the nice flat field. We were then given a fob for operating the barrier which made the site very secure. There is also free wi-fi. Our dog tested the secure dog walking field next door which is a great plus and the owners had kindly left out doggy treats and poo bags. The site is close to the A34 so ideal when visiting the area. It is definitely a site we will be returning to.

Beautifully maintained to a very high standard

Deborah and Martin have set up an exceptional CL site on the edge of Cannock Chase. Having stayed for a lovely weekend with our little dog we will certainly be back again for another visit. The site is situated on a lane just off the main A34 and is easily accessible. No county lanes to navigate so a big plus! The entrance to the site is controlled by security barrier and on arrival we were met by both Deborah and Martin who gave us a guided tour of the courtyard with gas BBQ and games/TV room. There is a choice of 4 hard standing pitches and one grass pitch all contained in a beautifully manicured field. Water, waste and chemical disposal points are just off at the top end. The standard of the pitches and amenities would put many club sites to shame! There is even anti-bacterial hand wash points provided at the waste disposal point and also at the entrance to the huge paddock which is laid out as a dog walk and is fully enclosed. All in all, one of the best CL sites we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. Well worth a visit, as this is a little gem.

Layed Back

What a lovely welcome awaiting our arrival on this nicely layed out C.L. Deborah and Martin the owners have used the space well, four hard standing and one grass pitch all nicely spaced and level. The entrance which is conveniently off the A34 is barrier controlled from a fob so secure and a separate car parking area if after unloading you want uninterrupted views from your van.The dog walk is ideal for either walking or allowing your dog to run free.It is totally secure, and the flock of sheep in the next field felt secure too.The water and waste area is good, plenty of bins, nice pressure at the hose and a flat paved floor level with the grassed area so no steps. There is a trace of commuter noise from the A34,but if like me you don't mind the noise of people going to work, especially if you can hear it from a sleeping bag,it's minimal.Penkridge market is just a 10 minute drive, well worth a visit,Wednesday and Saturday,Oh and don't forget the on site TV room if like me you like your Sky sport, with refreshments,a nice touch.Deborah and Martin are active guide dog sponsors,so some of the CL profit goes to a great cause, thank you,as Arnie says,I'll be back.
