Just Perfect!

What a lovely site!, we stayed here for 4 nights and had a fantastic time. The owners Martin and Deborah are so friendly, always around to lend a hand. The site is clean, tidy, neatly mowed. The mini shower blocks are super clean. Loved the piped music in there! The added feature of your own wooden love seat per pitch is a nice touch. Bike and dog wash areas very helpful with the muddy walks. Campsite is set in such beautiful surroundings, enjoyed watching the ducks being fed -that live on the duck pond, the sheep were very friendly too. The secure dog field is just perfect, we have a dog with some medical needs, she needs space to be walked alone when off lead, knowing that she was safe at all times just made our holiday. We liked the small car park for the cars so they are not on site. The little village of Bednall was delightful to walk around. There is a walk 5 mins from the site which takes you into Cannock Chase AONB where we walked and discovered amazing views. So loved our mini break there we have just re booked to return there later in the year.

Civilised CL

This is one fantastic CL, our thanks to Deborah for the warm welcome. `It was spotless from the neat and tidy entrance, on to the seemly spacious field via the security barrier. Grass is short and tidy, decent hedges surround the site and excellent laid out pitches. Toilets and showers are of a very high standard and would shame some club sites. The Dog exercise field was a bonus and exceeded expectations, both our dogs absolutely loved it together with the collection of dog balls/toys etc. This seemed the same size as the CL field, just for your dogs to play, WOW. Then there is the duck pond and their houses. Then there is the field complete with sheep. It was a joy to relax and have tired dogs, we did not venture far due to the rain, but had a wonderful stay. The location is what it is, so not a tranquil countryside spot but everything else is just superb. Yes we will be back.

Not just a Gem but a Diamond

After caravanning for twenty years we have just found the best CL ever ! So happy to have enjoyed two weeks there (only went for one!) Deborah and Martin’s Spring Paddock is exceptional in every way. Really didn’t want to write this review as selfishly we want to go back lots of times and want to be able to book in. Simply all the other reviews are correct and we just love it. Greg,Sharon and the mad Chihuahuas.

Beautifully thought through and maintained site

Had booked a 3 night stay at Spring Paddock to explore Cannock Chase. The site owners are lovely, friendly and welcoming. They have obviously invested a lot of thought and money into the site. It is immaculate and the shower and toilet would put many hotels to shame. They have WiFi. The dog exercise area is brilliant. The wildlife area is lovely. There are facilities for washing dogs and bikes as well as the things you would expect. You will see from the other reviews that many people love this site and I can see why. However what I hadn't appreciated (and that is my fault for not checking it's exact location) it is right next to the A34. In the sweltering temperatures I had there was no shutting out the traffic noise, and I found it intrusive and couldn't really relax. So after 1 night I moved on.

7* CL!

Stayed for one night en route to the Lakes. Could not have found a better place for a stopover. Immaculate facilities, beautifully well tended site and incredibly helpful and friendly owners. There is road noise but we slept like logs even in the mini heatwave we’re having! Would definitely stay again and cannot recommend highly enough.

Outstanding break at Spring Paddock.

We had a wonderful break here for 5 nights. I simply can't add any more superlatives and run by such a friendly, welcoming couple. Can't wait to go back but better book quickly I'm thinking especially now that they have a purpose built luxury "Lodge" which is ideal for 2 visitors who don't want to camp. We loved the 2 pubs at Colton, the Greyhound and Ye Olde Dun Cow and Brocton nature reserve - lots of baby fallow deers.

Just Perfect

Martin and Deborah could not be more friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The shower block and pitches are immaculate. The reception is so cosy and well planned with a lovely comfy sofa to sit on and lots of interesting features to look at. It even has a lovely shop area with very useful products to buy. The dog field has paths cut through, with lots of lovely long grass left for doggies to explore. HAVE to mention the small breed sheep in the next field. They are so friendly. I love sheep, such gentle creatures ❤ Oh and the wildlife pond is our favourite bit. We literally sat for hours there in the sun, watching the dragonflies, ducks and birds swooping down for bugs. Just perfect. Back in August. Can't wait.

Great site

This is our first CL visit and what a surprise. The facilities would put most sites to shame , even free Wi-fi. A great deal of work has resulted in this CL to be a worthwhile visit. The welcome was great and felt genuine. The range of items available in the shop were better than mainline caravan sites. Some road noise but everything else makes up for it. Look forward to staying here in future. Great value for money.

Top CL Run by Top Couple

All the 5* reviews are well justified and deserved by Martin & Deb. They have built up the perfect CL and they could not make you more welcome. Comments on A34 traffic noise is justified but this is a small negative point on 99 out of 100 positive points. It will get my best CL of the year vote.
