Fabulous little site

This is a gem of a c.l We were made most welcome by Andrew shortly after we arrived to make sure that we were pleased with the site which we were .The site is of a generous size and the pitches are well spaced apart, The site is ideally placed to visit many of the local attractions on the coast and the surrounding area.

Fantastic Site

We have just left this site after a 4 night stay. Andrew, the owner, greeted us upon our arrival and said if we need anything to just ask. Each pitch had its own water and electric supply and was very well spaced out for each pitch. Ideal location for staying if touring Northumberland. We will return when next in the area.

Spacious site with lovely views over fields

This site was a last minute change of plan booking for us, and Elspeth was very keen to try and help us sort our holiday out . The pitches are very well spaced out, and we were on pitch 5 that had amazing views over the fields that hares frequented. Such a joy to watch. Each pitch has its own tap and electric, which is a major tick in a box for us. Hardstanding pitches were maintained very well, and grass mown short with no grass clippings left (so no walking them into the awning or van). Andrew is a friendly, chatty fella, who is happy if you're happy. He checked In with us a couple of times during our weeks stay, just to make sure everything was OK. The site is close to the A1 but road noise is minimal, and it makes many local places extremely accessible. There are plenty of places to walk the dog straight from the site too. The weather was grey and damp the entire time we were there, but when the sun shines, I'm certain it would be a wonderful place to just sit and watch the wildlife in the fields for hours.

Excellent CL in a beautiful location

We have just returned from a two-week stay on this gem of a CL. It is situated just off the A1 in a peaceful tiny village. The pitches are well spaced out and spacious and each is kitted out with electrics and water supply. The waste disposal facilities are very easy to get to from each pitch and the site is well-maintained with great views of the surrounding countryside. There is a friendly pub right next door with excellent food and a bus stop in the village offering links to Berwick, Alnwick, Morpeth and Newcastle. The owners, Elspeth and Andrew were very welcoming and helpful. Probably the best CL we have stayed on

Just Spot On

Ticked all of of our boxes. This is a new site, pitches thoughtfully spaced, open views of the countryside and a superb pub restaurant on the doorstep. Bamburgh Castle and the coast only 15 minutes away, Alnwick, Seahouses etc, less than 20 minutes. Berwick is only 25 mins North of the site. Andrew, the owner met us on arrival and introduced us to the site. He has created flat pitches each with 16 amp supplies and each have their own fresh water points. As you’d expect, there’s also a service area with black waste point, separate drain for grey waste (not drive over) and a bin for rubbish. Surprisingly no recycling facilities but maybe they’re sorted at the waste disposal site. If your settled and your looking for something to do of the evening, you need look no further than the White Swan. They have a range of real ales and a highly recommended restaurant that’s right on the sites doorstep.

Perfect CL site

Relatively new to caravanning, but this site was perfect for our 4 night stay in beautiful Northumberland. Incredibly easy to find just off the A1, access was straightforward. The site is beautifully kept, fenced all the way round and with large spacious pitches. Each pitch is hardstanding but with grass to either side which was ideal for pegging the awning and windbreaks. There are electric hook up posts for each pitch and individual water taps, the waste disposal area is really well thought out, clean and tidy. It would be really lovely if recycling facilities were available onsite, but only a tiny negative. The site is perfectly situated for exploring surrounding areas, we visited Craster, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Lindisfarne whilst we were there, all within a brief drive. Walks directly from the site were perfect for our dogs, with a lovely route taking us up through woodland around the private estate of Twizel. Andrew was welcoming and a fantastic source of information on the local area, he checked in with us a couple of times during our stay, but otherwise we were left to our own devices. A real delight, our whole stay was just perfect and we can't wait to go back!

Swan field excellent CL

Swan Field caravan site . Warenford Having enquired to five Cls in the area swan field was the only site available for our dates and it turned out to be a really first class site and worthy of future nominations for CL of the Year. The route to and directions were straight forward , you did not need a Sat Nav, Met on arrival by Andrew who provided us with full and detailed explanation of the site ,and local area attractions. Bamburgh, Anwick, Berwick on tweed and craster with its smoked local Herrings, A relatively new CL Andrew and Elspeth have spent a lot of time and effort ensuring each individual pitch is suitable with Hard standing Piped running water and plenty of space around each pitch ensuring individual privacy; The local inn the white swan is within 50 yards of the site entry gate and provides a wide selection of food booking is strongly recommended especially over the weekend Well worth a visit and we would recommend it to all, we will certainly be going back there 0 replies

This is one of the best sites yet.

Arrived after a long drive and not sure what to expect, well I was not disappointed. Andrew was on site to welcome us, nice guy, only to happy to help. Each pitch is huge and well spaced out, so there's plenty of room between vans, it's quiet with all the vans benefiting from lovely views across open fields. A real bonus for me is EHU & water on every pitch, the TV signal is very good, with the WiFi single the best I've ever had on my phone. Only booked for three nights so we can visit Bamburgh castle on our tour up to Scotland, wished I had booked longer. Well done Andrew & Elsbeth, the site is a credit to you.

Large spacious pitches

We stayed here for four nights, this gave us easy access to areas of the Northumberland coast that we wanted to visit. Good flat hard standing pitches with water and electric surrounded by a well maintained lawn. The local pub was also on the doorstep. Our two dogs loved it as the site felt very secure and safe. This site was perfect for what we wanted thanks.
