Lovely site.

We booked for an overnight site but did not receive an email as promised with any instructions. However another phone call to Mrs Tile easily rectified that and all went well. The site was easy to find and access was straightforward. All grass is beautifully cut and collected which means you don't find yourself walking great clumps of grass in everywhere. The site is very peaceful and views are lovely. Our only slight problem which could perhaps have been made slightly clearer in the description was that there are no toilets or showers provided. Not a big problem for just one night but I would not want to be there for a week personally. Perhaps our fault for not thoroughly checking that particular detail. Apart from that would thoroughly recommend this pretty site.

Quiet, beautiful site, good location. reasonably priced

Lovely quiet site in beautiful location. Good for access to the ScottishBorders and beyond. Very reasonably priced, 10kwh of electric included in per night price. Site well kept. Full instructions for arrival in welcome email. Lovely walks from site (uphill track though!). My only concern was the dog poo left at both sides of the track which I presume is from the farm dog, as he came on to site both days of our stay and did his business next to our pitch. I didn’t get a chance to mention this to the site owners so maybe they’re not aware of it. Otherwise, five stars.

Great Stopover

Stopped here on way up to North coast, and on way back home too. Lovely quiet and peaceful site with great views. Loved watching the spring lambs playing in the field.

Excellent site. Quiet, convenient and reasonable value.

Good access for large outfits. Lovely views. Very quiet and peaceful. We had to pay a bit extra to top up the electricity as it was rather cold during our visit, but even with that it works out decent value. Would use again happily.

Wonderful - and quiet!

Glorious site, immaculate with huge views and beautifully quiet at night. Everything you need - EHU, wate disposal, water. Next time we'll make time to follow one of the waymarked walks. We were on pitch 1 which had a bit of a slope, nothing major. we used our ramps as well as maximising the self-levelling in our van. Definitely our new go-to when heading north. Thanks Lucy.

Peaceful site.

A lovely well kept site with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. A great welcome and good signposted walks through a working farm in spectacular countryside. We were fortunate to visit towards the end of lambing and were shown the pet lambs in their sheltered barns. Majority of lambs with their mums in the fields were fun to watch frolicking about.

Our favourite CL

We have just finished our second visit at Bairnkine. An amazing location on the top of a hill on a working farm, although there is no noise or disturbance from the farm. There are 5 stoned, hardstanding pitches which are on a slope so you will need to level up a fair bit. Our front wheels were on the top of our Milenco Quattro's and it was fine. There are no washing/showering facilities here so you do need your own, but the essentials of metered electricity, black & grey waste, fresh water and recycling are available. We are big fans of metered electricity rather than a blanket cost where some are paying for other so heat awnings etc. 10Kwh is included in the daily rate and you can top up if need be. Guests are welcome to explore the farm, but unfortunately we had no time. Perhaps on our next visit. Lucy from the farm is a caring host. We approached her with some specific issues that we are going through due to family illness and she was most obliging. The site is open and access is unrestricted day or night, which was useful to us, given the current circumstances. If you are a fan of Dark Skies, this site is amazing. It is many years since I have seen the night sky as vividly as I saw here last week. Constellations and the Milky Way were very clear and even satellites were visible. If you want a nice peaceful stay in the Borders with zero traffic noise, no crowds and just unadulterated peace & quiet, do yourself a favour and book in here
