What a Gem

What a lovely site very welcoming owners who keep the site in a lovely condition and the toilets and showers are kept really clean the views are fab and the number of different birds that visit is amazing must cost the site owner a fortune in feed she was out every day topping up the feeders. the village of New Gallaway was just a short walk. We went to the Ken Bridge Hotel for Sunday lunch and i have to say it was one of the best we have had (would highly recommend) and if you are into golf the course is really worth a visit. Definitely one we will revisit

Fantastic site

Lovely welcome from the owners  to this peaceful site. Great place to chill out and watch the birds on the feeders and the red kites flying overhead. Toilet and showers very clean. Would stay again if in this area.

First Timer...

Purchased a 2 Berth Ace ... first time ever been caravanning.. got this CL from a friend who goes here quite often,  I did a weeks photography round the area, superb time and the most friendly people. Made my stay very easy and comfortable, had a great time and cant wait to get back.

One of the best!

We have just returned from a tour of Dumfries and Galloway, staying in various places. This CL was our last stop and will be one we will return to again. A well organised, well planned and well laid out site. Level pitches generously spaced down the site slope. Peaceful with pleasant views over surrounding countryside. Immaculate and spacious shower and toilet block. Friendly owners; good directions and easy access. Thank you.

we stay on this site once a year and find it to be very peaceful and relaxing with wonderful views all round.an added bonus for us is the bird feeders supplied on site and the wonderful opportunity for photos of the woodpeckers,tits,finches,robins plus numerous others including red kites flying overhead.there are also loads of butterflies including peacocks and wild flowers everywhere.Christine and Neil are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are excellent.

Outstanding

We arrived on Fri Jun 20 and left on Sun Jun 22, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The wardens were extremely helpful, courteous and very friendly. The pitches are a very spaceous with great views of the magnificent scenery. The site was so peaceful, clean and tidy, with easy access. A pleaseant and short walk (just under a mile)into New Galloway with shop, pubs, tea room and restaurant. will definitely return for a longer stay. Many thanks for a great weekend.

Beautiful Peaceful Site

Friendly helpful owners and a tidy well kept site with beautiful views. Mostly hard standings with plenty of space between pitches, the grassed areas were firm and well drained. Very peaceful with no traffic noise. New Galloway only a short distance away for shops and pubs, and the Galloway Forest Park on your doorstep. The toilet & shower block was kept immaculately clean. In all a wonderful little CL, would definitely return again

A credit to the Owners

Have lovely memories of this CL. Welcoming owners, tidy terraced pitches all hardstanding if I recall. Stunningly beautiful location and plenty of wildlife, good dog walking. Nice clean shower and wc a bonus and will be appreciated by those who like such extras. Highly recommended and we shall visit again when in area.

A very peaceful CL within walking distance of the little town of New Galloway. Good facilities & friendly owners - we enjoyed our stay here.
