A. Hidden gem

Arrived after a long trip down the motorways to a warm welcome from the owners. Had a choice of two pitches both grass. Owners had a good knowledge of the area and went out of their way to point out local facilities. Great base for trips and walks with Tenby and saundersfoot within five mile. Good local shopping within walking distance of site and tesco and aldi at Pembroke dock only 15 min car ride away. Facilities on site basic but both single shower and toilet were kept immaculate. First time I have stayed on a cl site for longer than a weekend , but could have stayed for longer than the week I booked. I would highly reccomend this site and will use again if we decide to visit the area again.

Fabulous

An oasis of loveliness awaits all visitors. A pot of coffee as a welcome.what a great touch. A guided tour of the facilities and loads of local information. Ideal for motor homes. Easy access to local footpaths to the coast with handwritten instructions and maps. Local bus and train services available. Use of shower and loo in outbuildings of owners garden. A really lovely holiday exploring Pembrokeshire.Highly recommend. Fantastic value for money. Thanks.

what a lovely welcome

What a lovely welcome from Pam and Geoff. Tea and coffee, in a proper pot no less! Arrived on a hot day in July with our dog Robbie, (a bit late getting round to reviewing), we were made to feel so welcome. There are hard standings for each pitch but the owners are very laid back, and if you prefer to pitch on grass then its no problem, there's plenty of room. A very nice little shower room and separate loo if you want to use them. Across the road is access to the old railway line which is a nice dog walk, and its very handy for both Saundersfoot and Tenby. This site is what my idea of a perfect CL is.

Very welcoming and homely feel

Cannot fault the site at all, owner's are very friendly and welcoming, felt very settled and homely all week, shower and toilet brilliant with opportunity to leave a contribution for shower facility so we left £5 because the price per night is much lower than some site's but the shower was so much better, well kept without losing the back to nature feel, surrounding area fantastic with the begelly arm's also being friendly and welcoming,Cannot recommend highly enough 😊

Very Pleasant Stay.

Pam and Geoff are very welcoming and helpful. The site is well presented, attractive, and very convenient, being a short distance from the A477 and ideally located for Saudersfoot and Tenby. The toilet and shower facilities were an added bonus and we had no problems with TV reception. Just one word of caution, the site is easily missed as there is a temptation to carry on down the road to a gated entrance into a small council owned site. The Gatehouse is just 475 yards from the roundabout, turning left into a little cul-de-sac and slightly back on yourself. We look forward to coming back next time we visit the area. Stayed May 2018. Great little site

Lovely week in very pretty surroundings, very happy with the Gatehouse and will be returning, small very plesant site, only drawback that t.v. reception not brilliant, but we did not really miss this. Great beaches and castles to explore nearby and plenty of dog friendly beaches and pubs at Wisemans bridge Amroth and Manobier. We had no issue with electrics as stated on previous review?. Had our very wecome cuppa on arrival, mine hosts very friendly and helpful Stayed 15/7/17 - 22/7/17

7 night stay

We missed out on the famed 'cup of tea on arrival' as Pam & Geoff were out when we arrived but they made us welcome on their return and would have willingly made us tea. The site has 4 hard standing and one grass pitch and was full for most of our stay. The site is behind the house in a dead end road so is fairly peaceful but there was some road noise from the main roads not far away. The toilet/shower facilities were adequate but could really do with an update. Geoff was always available to give us the benefit of his local knowledge for best places to eat/visit and the best routes to take. Overall a good stay and would return if we were in that area again.
