A great CL site

This CL site has a really nice feel, flat and lawned. Easy water and EHU. Easy access. An interesting story of the old station house. Lovely owners who made us very welcome.

Charming, Peaceful and Relaxing

Warm welcome from Tim on our arrival. Lovely peaceful site, with plenty of walking and cycling tracks. Village five minutes walk has a patisserie where fresh croissants can be bought for breakfast. (It opens at 7.30 am). Beautiful church. Claire greeted us later in the day armed with leaflets about local events and venues. Could not fault it and we will certainly return. A fantastic little Gem

We chose The Siding due to it being adjacent to Marriots Way where there is a very good Geocaching trail and we were certainly not disappointed. Right from the off it was just what we hoped for and more. The grass was short, there were plenty of trees and hedgerows, birdlife, insects, rabbits and peace and tranquillity! What more could anyone want? We stayed for 4 nights and were very lucky to enjoy beautiful weather and spend lots of time enjoying the countryside. Claire and Tim the owners were so welcoming, sharing lots of local knowledge and information and lending us a folder full of maps and booklets of villages and local attractions. We can not rate this CL highly enough and have plans to return again and again. Thanks to our hosts for maintaining this little Gem Jackie, Derrick & Billy the Westie xx

Very friendly, great cycling location, watch the rabbits.

A charming site, in a secluded spot, but convenient for the village. It was once a railway station, and the owners live in the old station building. The site is a lovely grassed area where the end of the platform would have been. Its located right next to Marriotts Way, which gives you off road cycling links to Norwich, Reepham, Aylsham and Wroxham. The grass is kept trim by the resident rabbits, which are so cute when they come out in the evening! The welcome from the owners was really friendly. I would really recommend the site.

Our ideal site

Such a lovely tranquil place in a rural location yet within easy reach of all the joys that North Norfolk has to offer, The Siding is spacious and welcoming. It is only a short walk away from the village of Cawston with its local shops and facilities. For the more energetic there are many walks and cycle rides to be enjoyed. To complete this idyllic picture, the owners are both friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return.

Our favourite CL

We have stayed here several times and and it's the best CL we have ever stayed at. The owners Tim and Claire make everyone welcome and are very helpful. The site itself is spacious, easy to drive onto and park, and everything a caravanner or motorhome owner needs on a CL is to hand. Cawston is an attractive village with a good general store and post office, and a cafe and patisserie, All Things Nice, which would not be out of place in France. There is a bus service to Norwich, so no need to brave its traffic, and the Broads, the coast and the Norfolk countryside are all in easy reach, starting with the Marriots Way running alongside the site. We keep coming back.

Our favourite CL yet

We had a wonderful stay at The Siding. Tim and Claire are friendly and helpful and we certainly appreciated the comprehensive information folder they had put together. The CL is right next to the Marriott's Way so ideal for walkers and cyclists, plus we cycled lots of the rural lanes in the area too. The site itself has electricity, waste and water, and is immaculate and very pretty with the mature trees and the view to St Agnes. We were also able to use the wifi which was upgraded during our stay and had a good signal. Walking into Cawston for day to day shopping takes just minutes although do beware of the All Things Nice delicatessen/patisserie. It is accurately named and stocks lots of tempting local produce! Our stay was relaxing and tranquil. Although chickens are kept up by the house, we weren't disturbed by any crowing and the eggs sold fresh on site are absolutely delicious. We enjoyed day trips to Norwich, as well as nearby NWT nature reserves. We would definitely return to The Siding again if we wanted somewhere to pitch up in North Norfolk. Thanks Tim & Claire - great CL!
