Extremely helpful owners

Stayed here over the recent Easter bank holiday and really enjoyed our break despite the ground being wet on arrival and my car getting stuck. Fortunately the ever helpful owner positioned my van using his 4x4 (have recently changed my own for a front wheel drive Mondeo......you live and learn as they say), would have to disagree with whoever said this site is like a billiard table. As previous reviewers have mentioned the immediate area has lots of things going for it and the owners are, as already mentioned, real gems. There is only one downside that I could think of and that is the cockerills which begin around 3am. Having said that this is the countryside and I have been woken up by much worse noises in my time, by the third morning I'd stopped noticing them entirely, or was that the quality beer from the local pub!

Fantastic site for children and cyclists

We stayed August 2014 with our 2 boys and had a great time. Owners very friendly and helpful, provided pack of local information on arrival. Huge park next door with football pitch and play equipment. Easy access to Marriott way cycle/ walking. This was great as surface perfect for young son who was not long off his stabilisers. Safe walk from site (pavements) to park and village for pubs and shop. You can cycle Marriott way (approx 5 miles)to steam train station and take bikes on train to broads.

Great for dog walk

As previous reviewers.  All very easy. Lovely walk to Kings Arms 3miles away. Owners offered to pick us up as husband has dodgy knee.  We were amazed that it wasn't fully booked on August bank holiday. Perfect for us. The owners have chickens and sell eggs.  There is also a cockerel which we like. Would return

Lovely CL site

First visited in May this year and hoping to visit ago in later this month. The site is lovely and as flat as a billiard table having been reclaimed from the old railway line which has now been cleared and forms  Marriotts Way and runs along the back of the site, if you like to cycle trails or walk then this couldn't be better. For those with younger children there is the best village playing field I have ever seen complete with slides, swings, skate park, zip wire, climbing wall and much more a short and safe walk away.   Cawston Village has a few pubs and basic shops, Holt, Blickling and the coast are a short drive away and offer much to explore. We will certainly return as The Sidings has become an instant local favourite for us.

Outstanding CL

We have just had 5 days at this cl and found both Tim and claire to be very helpful, they provide you with a welcome pack on arrival with all the details of surrounding areas, they also went out of their way to drive me to the local Tesco after I burnt my hand and didn't have any lotion with us ( motorhome only so couldn't get there) right next to marriots way cycle track so easy to explore the broads etc, even have fresh eggs if wanted. 10/10

Great CL site

Lovely site, plenty of space, nice friendly owners. This is a site that is right in the heart of all that Norfolk can offer, the sea, the broads and Norwich all within easy reach. Tim and Claire are very helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome without intruding on your privacy. The site has plenty of space for the five members it can take and has easy access. Well worth a visit.

Our second visit

Well..... I believe we were the first outfit to use the CL once it was approved and in my review I said...."we WILL return", I am very happy to report that we DID return a couple of weeks ago. The site has matured beautifully over the last year and the friendliness and hospitality of Claire and Tim is as great as ever. If you want rural peace and tranquillity yet close to amenities available in Norwich, The Norfolk Broads or North Norfolk Coast ...do what we did.... ring up and book!! You will not be disappointed.

A Little bit of Heaven

We have just returned from 8 nights at this beautiful site having enjoyed wonderful weather. There is plenty of room for 5 vans plus your awning and car, ground is fairly flat but could need a levelling block depending on where you pitch. Alongside the site runs the Marriots way, which is ideal for cycling and walking. We cycled to Alysham in one direction, a nice market town and Reepham the other way, smaller but very nice. Tim and Claire, the site owners, are extremely helpful and friendly. They own a number of chickens so there is no need to take eggs as you can have them nice and fresh at a minimal cost. You will be visited by Milly the black lab who lives on site. She is a friendly dog and has a penchant for stale bread which has been thrown out for the birds. We think it became a daily treat for her!! : ) This is a beautiful site which we will definitely revisit. It is perfectly situated for the broads, the seaside or Norwich. Access to the site is easy and the site itself is easy to find as it is next right after the village hall after going through the village. This site is suitable to couples and families alike. There is plenty of room for youngsters to stretch their legs and there is even a playing field behind the village hall. It is perfect for dog owners as the marriots way is ideal for dog walking. We found this site has everything we needed and was excellent value. Thank you to Claire and Tim.

A warm welcome awaits you here!

I stayed at this C.L recently and I found the owners very helpful and friendly. The description is exactly how it is. If you like walking, the site is adjacent to Marriotts Way, and it is in a very nice traditional Norfolk village. The owners also sell eggs. The ones I had were so fresh, the chickens had to be moved off them!! This site is well worth a visit!

Well Worth a Visit!

We decided to sample this new CL and ended up staying for five pleasant nights. The site is well located and during our stay we visited friends in Cromer, found some new and interesting places to explore in Norwich, as well as rambling around more local points of interest. The site owners are helpful and welcoming. Access to the site is very easy. Pub, restaurant and fast food within easy walking distance.
