Far from the Madding Crowd

Lovely quiet little site, in a very open, well-kept field adjoining a charming farm. We had the furthest pitch and for 2 nights no neighbours, and as our water tap was right next to the caravan we could use it like a service pitch with water permanently connected (we did disconnect when away in case anyone needed it though). The night sky and masses of stars were a real treat on a clear night, as there is minimal light pollution. We recommend the St Buryan Inn down the road for excellent and reasonably priced food, and if you are a history buff take a look in the pretty church across from the pub - it has a wealth of interesting stories about the origins of the church and the village. We mainly came here as a base for a visit to the Minack Theatre, but would definitely come back again as it's perfect for exploring the real Cornwall - Newlyn, Mousehole, Paul, Sennen, and of course, Penzance. And Mrs Sampson is really lovely and friendly as well!
