Enjoyable stay

We had11 enjoyable days at this site. The views from the caravan were perfect. We went on hard standing because it was well into autumn but the grass pitches would need blocks. If you turned left out of the drive 50yds down the road there is a nice thatched 16th century inn which serves nice food. iF you turn the other way there is a golf club which does fine dining. We will return if in the area again.

A Special Place!

In my senior years and whilst I still have all my faculties I,m Long Term Touring and have pitched at many CL,s all over the UK! I cant really fault any. However, I,m always drawn back to "Uplands", to me it,s a little bit of Heaven with it,s majestic views and peacefulness along with all the facilties needed to enjoy an always pleasant stay, such as Television + Wi-Fi reception, with mains electric all suitable for use in any inclement weather, not forgetting the often viewed Bird and Wildlife that ventures here, a truly wonderous place. David and Adrienne the owners, along with their family are most welcoming and fall over themselves to help out in anyway possible, you couln,t wish for more friendly people to know, and have befriended me over the years, on numerous occassions. Other advantages that though small Chittlehamholt offers, is they now boast a newly opened village shop, stocked with fresh and refridgerated food with a small canteen area for tea/coffe/ cakes etc, all manned by volunteers, very nice it is too. A little further along the road is a well known golf course "High Bullen" open to the public. The outstanding bonus for me though because I like a pint or two of "Real Ale" is the "The Exeter Inn" where there is good company and fine localy sourced food, cooked and served. All this within a few minutes walk from the site entrance, I,ll be returning soon, after my tour of Wales!

Warm welcome and outstanding views.

We have have stayed on this CL on several occasions. David and Adrienne could not be more welcoming . We love the view from the CL which is a haven of peace and tranquillity in beautiful surrounding countryside away from the rush and bustle of the coast which is still easily accessible. Highly recommended.

Lovely welcome.

We stayed at this site in April 2013, when we arrived there was a problem with the electric hook up, but the site owner was very prompt to come and sort it out. We also couldn't log on to the internet, but the owners son soon came down with his computer and got us logged on in no time. They couldn't have been more helpful. Good value for money site. would stay there again. A scenic site with lovely views over the Devon country side. thank you.
