Having visited over 50 CL's I would put this in the top 3, so that's a good start.
One initial word or warning - check the entrance on Google Maps before you go, so that you know what to expect. The entrance is narrow and partially hidden. I caught our caravan on the fence leaving, that was entirely my fault but it is a warning about it being narrow.
Having arrived we got a very friendly welcome. The site has 7 well spaced pitches, so plenty to choose from all giving excellent views of the local countryside.
The site is well maintained with good facilities including a toilet which is heated.
There are some nice short walks from the site across the Weald, and it is worth wandering through the Orchards which at Easter were in bloom. It would be good to visit end of April/start of May. We visited the site due to its central location in Kent, which meant we spent a lot more time in the car than I would like. We could have spent more time exploring nearer to base.
I am left with one question, we were there for 9 nights over the Easter holidays, and the site was only full for one of those, and we were the only van on site on Easter Night - Why?. This is a perfect example of a CL, give it a try..
good clean and friendly site
This is such a good clean and friendly site will be back soon.
short drive to all the good interests around Kent spent 4 days there.
What a site!
We stayed there for two nights and found the site (and the sight) to be impressive. The owners (fellow motorhomers) are very friendly and easy to talk to. The site (as the name indicates) looks out over the Weald with uninterrupted views for miles and, if are lucky, in the early morning with the weather permitting, over the mist in the valley below, just 'perfick'. As we live reasonably locally we didn't bother going off site to sight-see but we can testify to the quality all the attractions mentioned on the brochures in the washroom which, we can also say, is kept very clean. We managed to take in two of the local sites: the pub and church (both of which were used in the filming of 'Darling Buds of May' (btw I am not reviewing the pub (Black Horse 15c) here but it is well worth the walk across the road. There is access to fresh water, electricity, casette toilet waste disposal and recycling . The only (very) slight problem is making sure your wing mirrors are safe entering (and leaving) the site.
Great CL.
Great site, views to die for, Clean well kept and the owners are very helpful, if you like vintage cars there are a fair few in the area and some visit the site. Very clean wash room and toilet. The pub just over the road is very good and the food very nice. The village has a butcher and local store and post office. What more could you want. Access is OK, I have a twin axle Senator and have no problems getting in.
This site is top of our list. Been going for a number of years and long may it continue.

Lovely Site
Stay June 2013. It did remind us of the 'Darlings Buds of May' and then we found out that quite a lot of the filming had been done in the village or nearby. The site is very well kept and the owners very friendly. We did not experience traffic noise or even noise from the school which is in front of the site. At school start and finish times the traffic was awful and leaving the site solo was difficult. Really good dog walks in the nearby 'orchards' accessible by the public footpaths. The site does give uninterrupted views of The Weald and the iconic oast houses. We would stay here again.
The 3 stars for the ease of arrival/welcome is only for the very narrow entrance and not the welcome from the owners who went 'the extra mile'.
Pluckley
Beautifully kept CL and a good welcome from owner. Entrance to site extremely tight with parked cars on either side making it difficult to identify and negotiate the entrance.
Lovely views but quite a bit of traffic noise.
Wonderful
We have just spent 2 lovely nights here. The site is immaculate, the owners very friendly and the view over the downs is wonderful. You are a few paces from the village shop, butchers and the Black Horse pub where we had a fantastic meal.
We will definitley be back and would recommend the site to all.
