5* Welcome

Well what can I say.. an absolute MUST! If it’s peace, tranquility and wonderful hosts then this is your place! Whilst you need own facilities it’s a small price to pay for a fantastic homely welcome. Our second visit with friends and for sure there ll be more! The owners couldn’t be more welcoming and the love of their animals is indescribable. Adults and children alike would love the farm visit and free eggs on arrival too! Walton Hall is only 20 minute drive away and The Red Bull pub is within walking distance of the site. A co op is also in walking distance of the site for provisions too.The market town if Frodsham with shoos and eateries and supermarket is just a 5 minute dive so a super location. Credit to this wonderful CL site

Fantastic CL

Just returned from a weekend at this wonderful CL.We were greeted by Chris on arrival,he made us feel most welcome and left us to set up.Access to site is down a narrow but quiet country lane. Patricia came to see us later, and kindly gave us half a dozen eggs which were most welcome. There are lots of animals as it is a working farm, and we met most of them on the farm tour, which is an excellent bonus of staying here.Walk to Delamere Forest is easy from the site, with excellent views en route in fabulous countryside. While there Patricia was most helpful and answered any questions we had. There is a fabulous pub,The Hare and Hounds which is a pleasant walk from the site, which serves excellent food. The site is very quiet except for the sound of birdsong, calves and ponies. We will definitely return very soon.

Friendly CL

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at this site. Friendly owners, flat site with electric hookup, dog area & plenty of space. Entrance is down a quiet country lane & through the farmyard. Optional farm tour & 1/2 dozen fresh eggs on arrival. Plenty to do in the area. Views from the nearby Sandstone trail & Beeston Castle are spectacular. Half an hour from NT Dunham Massey which was a lovely day out. Salt Works and Anderton Boat lift in Northwich good too.

Great site for families

What a lovely site! Friendly, welcoming owners (who greeted us with fresh free range eggs), grassed, level site with a gravel drive running alongside for easy access. The farm tour was interesting and our children loved grooming and riding the ponies. New Brighton Beach is only 40 mins drive away with free parking, toilets and facilities, Lifeguards (when we were there) and is also dog friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with plenty of things to see and do and Chester is not far away. We had a fantastic week at this lovely site and will definitely return.

First experience of a CL - loved it!

Beautiful location. Greeted by the friendly owners and half a dozen of their free-range eggs :) we were taken on a tour of the farm and as an animal lover I absolutely loved being surrounded by baby cows!! Would definitely recommend this CL. It was our first experience of a CL and it was extremely positive :) the owners provide a detailed letter with local important numbers/information and more importantly...local pubs/walks and attractions.

Definitely recommend for families

We’ve just stayed for 3 nights at this lovely little gem of a site. The owners and their wider family are extremely attentive and go well out of their way to make you feel welcome. The kids absolutely loved grooming the ponies and they were even treated to a little ride (the owner spent around an hour grooming and racking up the horses, just to give the kids a ride!). We all loved the farm tour, which lasted around an hour, and informed us about the history, and running of the farm. My kids absolutely loved this place, we saw a baby calf being born, they’ve petted pigs, cows, horses, ginuea pigs, rabbits, you name it!! Free fresh eggs on arrival, we will definitely be back.

A lovely spot for an Autumn break

We've just spent 3 nights at this lovely little site. We were met by Christopher on his tractor who kindly suggested we park the 'van next to the hardstanding area. This made a huge difference of keeping the floors clean. The gift of half a dozen eggs and a useful welcome letter was a really nice touch. Patricia met us later and gave us some good ideas for walks nearby. It's a really handy spot to explore local places such as Delamere Forest, which is in walking distance, and the Anderton Boat Lift is just a short drive. Both are great for dog walking which is a must for us. The local village has a well stocked Co-op / Post Office and a pub. We can definitely recommend the site, although we did almost drive past as there isn't a CL sign up yet, so you need to be on the look out for the entrance.
