Lovely Site

Just returned from 4 nights stay at Yew Tree - lovely flat pitch with own water and electric and views of open fields. The heated showers were really nice - also with an inside washing up area. Andrew is very welcoming and friendly and showed us the lambs and his collection of tractors. Lots of walks directly from the site and many quiet roads for cycling. Will certainly be visiting again and would recommend. Thank you for your hospitality Andrew.

Excellent site

Spent three nights here in February, just us and one other van. Very friendly owners who will tell you all the walks in the area, canals, rivers and coastal. Two showers are excellent but toilet is in same area so could get busy in summer. Hard standing with EHU and own water supply is good, all level pitches, lovely views across fields. Good pub within four minutes walk with good food and GLUTEN FREE choices. Side of road so road noise in rush hours but not constant. Saw deer, foxes, hawks and flocks of geese while out walking. Six mile walk along canal and nature reserve but all flat in to Cleethorpes centre. On arrival Andrew showed us the four hour old lambs and would let us watch the next ones being born, unfortunately the next four were born during the night so we missed it. Will definitely be returning, Nigel.

WOW!!

WOW! What a week I have had. I have learned so much. I have had the absolute privilege of being able to work with Andrew and help him with birthing some lambs and assisting on the farm. As a previous midwife, this has been an amazing experience, one which I never thought I would have the opportunity to achieve and one which I will never forget. I am so grateful for the opportunity and will enjoy revisiting the site and watching the lambs grow. Thankyou Andrew.

Welcoming excellent stay

We arrived at this campsite Monday 9th January to a fantastic welcome by a young lad working on the farm offering us a hot drink whilst we set up. We declined as everything was on board our kamper. He said Andrew would come and check we are ok. Andrew the owner came and chatted such a lovley welcome and lots of helpful information shared re walks. The pitch was super flat, the dogs loved the dog exercise area. The adults well we thought the showers were excellent as was the pot wash. The Crown and Anchor pub was extremely welcoming as was the fire. The weather was poor day 1 as it was blowing a hooley and rain was lashing but still got out for a run and then a warm up in the pub. We will be back the end of January to.walk to Cleethorpes and continue our Coastal Adventure. I reccomend this excellent site for walkers, nature lovers and anyone looking for a good pint! Many thanks Andrew

Best site ever in 55 years.

We spent Christmas 2022 at this site and despite the poor weather liked it so much that we extended our stay until New Years Day. The site facilities and layout are the nicest we have ever experienced in 55 years of caravanning. The site is level and hard standing with room for an awning on the hard section. We didn’t use the awning because of the time of year. The toilet and showers have been built to a very high standard. Lots of hot water and heated as well. The disabled shower is especially nice. Andrew welcomed us with cups of tea and nothing was too much trouble for him during our stay. He has an interesting collection of vintage tractors. We’ve never stayed in this area before and will return in the spring or summer. We did manage to visit the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre and spent about three hours there. It’s well worth the visit. The poor weather (it was December!) kept us in the caravan for half the time but we did get some walks including Humberston Park, Far Ings Nature Reserve (with a walk along the bank of the Humber), Cleethorpes Promenade, and the highlight of a visit to Donna Nook where there were 250 seals including mothers, fathers and pups. All the walks were wheelchair friendly, especially if you have motor-assist. There are other such walks that we’ll attempt when we return later. There’s plenty to see and do in this area. A great deal of thought and effort has been made in setting up this new site.

An excellent CL.

Just returned from a Twixmas break and we are very impressed by this CL. Facilities are excellent with ample size pitches each serviced with 16a hook ups and a fresh water tap. Waste and recycling points are well laid out as is the chemical waste disposal but the pièce de résistance was the shower block. This was by far the best shower and toilet facilities we have encountered on a CL and puts a lot of commercial sites to shame! There are two heated shower rooms both with a toilet and sink and were pristinely kept by Andrew and are a credit to him. Arrival was straight forward with excellent communication from Andrew who met us as we entered the CL, the security barrier was great for that extra peace of mind. Andrew takes great pride in what he's created and so he should. After a quick guide around the site we were left to settle our selves in. If you have a dog then the dog exercise field is a great bonus. Although sited next to the road there is very little traffic during the day and completely silent at night. So would we come again? Absolutely we would!

First visit

Just spent the weekend on this lovely site. We was welcomed by the owner Andrew who was very friendly and helpful. It was very peaceful close to a lovely pub that serves good food and a good pint. Lots of country walks close by and the facilities on site was clean and warm. We will be returning next year for sure.

Best site we've stayed at

This site has only quite recently opened and my only wish is that it had opened sooner! Andrew is really welcoming and accommodating and keeps the site immaculate. We have been living in our caravan for around 4 months now whilst we await a house sale to complete and have stayed at a number of other sites in this time but none of them are anything like the standard at Yew Tree Farm. We were on a hard standing pitch with water and electric hook up and were allowed to put up our awning and some temporary fencing for our 3 dogs. Andrew kindly put us next to the dog exercise field which is huge and ideal for letting the dogs burn off some energy. The shower/toilet block is extremely clean and fitted out to a really high standard with washing up facilities and two enormous individual wet rooms with a toilet and shower. The coded barrier entrance gives you peace of mind that your caravan/motorhome is safe and secure. The site is in a very peaceful location with views across the countryside and some great local dog walks and dog friendly pub. We genuinely can't recommend this site enough and is has everything you need from a caravan site. Thank you Andrew!

Extremely accommodating

Weather meant we were leaving our site in the lake district early and needed an unplanned overnight stop in Lincolnshire, on a Friday night at the start of the school holidays!. We phoned and said we would like to arrive within the half hour...although our pitch was booked for the next day it was still made available to us for the night. Very high standard new site. Very friendly and accommodating. Gave us a guided tour and explained about local walks. Lovely little pub just around the corner...all in all, our very good luck that we could stop overnight...we will be back to explore in the future...thank u so much.

What a lovely CL

We have just spent three lovely nights at this site. Although it is new and still being developed the owner has added all the items that would make your stay easy. 16 amp hook-ups, water on the hard standing pitches together with easy access to and from the site. Fenced off areas include exercise for dogs and marked out pitches, all add to the professional way the owner has gone about setting up this great site. There are two beautiful Wet Rooms that provide WC and Shower facilities. There are plenty of activities in and around the area. Just a few minutes walk from site is the Crown & Anchor pub which serves good food it also caters for Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free meals. There are lots of walking and cycling routes and the near by Tetney Marsh Nature Reserve would be an interesting place to explore for those interested in wildlife.
