Couldn't be better for Bristol

We love this site - perfect for central Bristol and on a lovely location alongside the wharf with ferry boats accessible and SS Great Britain only a short walk away. Ideal for couples but without play facilities for youngsters which may deter younger families. However for the slightly older children when there is so much to do on the doorstep it could not be bettered. This is why it is nearly always fully booked.

A great first experience of the Caravan Club

As a very new member to the Caravan Club, I was delighted with my stay at Baltic Wharf. It is in a perfect location with the ferry on the doorstep, a pub with good food next door and another (Nova Scotia) round the corner, and within walking distance of many of Bristol's delights. The site was pristine and the wardens very helpful. Also a very peaceful site at this time of year. I will be returning as often as possible.

Great site, always good to be back

Great site, good wardens, location good for SWMBO to go and spend money at the great city centre, half hour walk into centre or take water taxi from outside site rear gate, pub next door is good but shame no dogs allowed inside, only allowed on outside seating area, no good gog exersise areas nearby which is a shame. Pitches are small but adequate due to site being small, all round a great site but being a dog owner would only go for a few days.

One of the Best

This site is amazing we always enjoy our time at Baltic Wharf. The wardens are very friendly and helpful, the layout is good. The location is first class on the harbourside with regular river taxies into the heart of the city. The Cottage pub next door is a CC haven with good food hot tasty and well priced

Does what it says on the tin!

This site is in a great location for walking into the City Centre.  The facilities are perhaps a little "tired" but perfectly adequate. I understand the future of this leased site is uncertain, so make use of it while you can.  The warden/s are very helpful and efficient and the site reasonably quiet even though backing onto a busy road.

Enjoyable visit

We were visiting relatives who live in Bristol so this site is ideally located for us. The site is clean and tidy and the facilities very clean. The wardens were friendly and helpful. Just a note for those members with dogs, the swing bridge across the river is closed for a year so access to the park is along the main road flyover at present! We will continue to use this site for as long as it remains open.

Excellent site

After many years of trying to get a pitch on this site, my first visit was an excellent experience. everything was spotless. Ideal location. So glad that the site has been given an extension on the lease. And hopefully I might hit the jackpot again and be able to book a pitch again on this popular site. If I had any suggestions it would be that 2 or 3 pitches be kept free for those wishing to stop over for just one night.

Great site

So pleased the site is to remain open for a few more years. It opens onto the wharf for nice walk, restaurants, site seeing and a bus outside or water taxi takes you straight into the town. Pleasant wardens and a well maintained site, just wish it could stay open forever!!

Location, location, location - superb

Having tried to get on this site for a long time we were not disappointed.  The site is very compact with no play areas etc however you can quickly get out on to a walk by the river Avon and the proximity to the docks, city and SS Great Britain is amazing.  Compared to even a budget hotel the cost of our stay represented excellent value.  Lots of novelty for our kids to enjoy - Our only regret it we didn't stay enough nights to go canoeing! Remarkably quiet at night too.
