Where's the Wi Fi?

Good site toilets and showers very clean but let down by not having Wi Fi it is 2015 freeview breaks up a lot for good TV reception satellite dish needed also even on hard standing you will probably need levellers.

Nice site. Mixed pitches

Our first stay here.  We are newbies to caravans.   The staff were really helpful and the facilities immaculate.  Our tips for people staying here. Grass pitches seem to be closer to facilities while some of the hard standing areas are tucked away.  It's down to taste. If you want more sunlight grass pitches are a better option.   Take a doormat or something to wipe feet.  We stayed on hard standing and lots of little stones were dragged into the caravan.  We are new so hadn't invested in one of these yet. There is a pub down the road that can host live bands.  Great if you Want live music.  However this can clearly beheard on site til the early hours.  Although it kept us awake it didn't ruin the holiday If you have kids this site is ideal.   Lots of safe woods and lots of new friends for the kids to meet and play.

Quiet country haven

We stayed for a couple of weeks for our summer break this year. The site isn't your typical row and row of caravans; which is fine for us as we don't like that (take note CC). Anyway, there are lots of pockets of vans around the site. When you arrive, the wardens show you where there are spaces available for your chosen pitch, give you map and tell you to go off and explore to find the one you wanted. It might sound odd, but considering the way the site is laid out you'd be forever reversing with your outfit to find a space. The site has small, but sufficient toilet blocks. No Eifi or TV on the bollards and RF freeview is okay but not great on an ariel. We used our satellite dish. Mobile wise, strong O2 4G, EE had pockets of 4G mainly 3G and Three, a weak signal. The site is on the land of an hold country house, and there is some interesting history available to read up on that the wardens keep hold of. The ground is undulating on most pitches, so take your levelling blocks with you. The ground is free draining, but when it rains hard (which we had at the end of August - typical british summer!), it pools until it drains, but we still managed to pull the van off without issues when it was. IT's also pretty sheltered as the days when there were 40+mph wind, it was hardly notable on the site, although the trees around us gave the only clue in the noise from the leaves being blown. The site is pretty hidden as you drive to it, I found it useful to use google street view to do some research before we came. Little park for the kids, plus a large fenced off ball area, plus access to a public footpath for dog walking or a stroll to the pub. We'd happily return in the future.

Excellent

We've just returned from a five night stay at Normanhust Court with our grandchildren,we all had a great time especially the children. It's now one of their favourite sites. The site is well maintained and facilities kept very clean. The wardens are extremely helpful and great with the kids, the activity packs are a superb idea kept them very busy, with a prize at the end. We will hopefully return before the end of the season.

Handy Bolthole

We've just returned from a three night stay at Normanhurst Court and we were not disappointed. Although pretty busy, the site had a quiet relaxed feel to it. Pitches well spaced out with lots of location choices to suit the many different types of family units. The toilets are amazing, so clean! Wardens very friendly and helpful. Not too far for us to travel so I'm sure this site will become a favourite for us.

Beautiful Normanhurst

After a great two nights at Daleacres trying out our new motorhome, we decided to extend and visit another site on the way home and found Normanhurst. All I can say is wow what a hidden treasure. The whole area is set among gardens and I would imagine in spring time the rhodendrons are stunning. The staff were very welcoming. The only gripe was that we had to park up and walk around the site to select our pitch. Much easier to drive round as with other sites...but that's a very small gripe.

Peaceful & Relaxing

We decided at short notice to surprise our friends that were staying at Normanhurst and the Wardens were extremely helpful and accommodating in helping us to do this. They even arranged for us to have close proximity pitches! We had a very enjoyable weekend in a peaceful and very relaxing site. We enjoyed a lovely walk through the woods with our dog and would thoroughly recommend this site.

Great Holiday, lovely site.

This is a lovely site set just a couple of miles outside Battle. The site is very well maintained and the facilities are kept very clean all credit to the wardens. One slight criticism is I agree with Phil Atkin and the signage on the toilet blocks could be a bit more helpful.   Overall a perfect fortnight that let us feeling very chilled and relaxed!. Even though we did have an interesting night during a rather heavy thunder storm,  Don't rely on Sat-Nav when you are close to arrival!
