Great little site

Nice caravan site with excellent wash facillities. Very few pitches with a view but well kept. Staff were great to deal with. Really enjoyed the break.

Berwick "seaview"

We booked a non awning pitch and when we arrived we were told that there were only 2 pitches available in a cul de sac bordered by tall trees. No sea views as we expected and the service point and toilets were a long way from the pitch. The warden told us that there are only five non awning pitches at this site, two being on grass which were closed presumably due to heavy rain a couple days prior to our arrival. This meant only three non awning pitches, one with a sea view which had been taken. If we visit this site again we will book an awning pitch even though we do not have an awning. This may also be a good tip for booking at other sites as there seem to be more awning pitches than non awning pitches at most sites.

Great staff shame about the members!

On this occasion we had a great pitch away from the railway, close to the services and with a clear view of the sea. We could not have asked for more pleasant staff who worked well to keep the site in exelent order. These efforts were spoilt by club members not picking up after their pets. We even noticed a member watch his dog do a poo on the grass and leave it. Being a dog owner who did not want taring with the same brush I had polite but firm words with the owner (which worked) rather than report it to the staff. I say again the site is well kept by the staff why must members spoil it?

A credit to the club

Had just a one night stay here en route from Scotland to the south. Nice views over the bay with a 20 minute stroll into Berwick its self, the site was very well maintained, good sized pitches and the ablutions we're spotless. Both the Wardens and the assistant Wardens were friendly, helpful and greeted us with a big smile, both couples are a credit to the Club .

Great site

It's not actually at Berwick, but at Spittal, Berwick is a 30 min stroll away. Nothing much locally at Spittal but Berwick interesting with a few good restaurants for lunch, queens head was excellent. Beach at Spittal  makes a good walk although a bit "doggy"when we were there. I would say the site  is ok for a short stay.

Compact but exceptional views

On a terraced site, most pitches have a view across the bay. Bus stop straight outside the site but a short and pleasant walk into Berwick. A walk around the city walls is a must. No dog walk on site and nearest is just on the peninsula so take nappies!! The facilities are weirdly located towards the furthest ends of the site. The pitches are short and tight to turn into. The wardens are very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Site is spotless. Solitude is broken by the adjacent East Coast Mainline trains very frequently but they remarkably quiet. Would also recommend the seafood wholesalers nearby for excellent crab, lobster and honey smoked salmon,

great location

Very good location overlooking the bay and river tweed towards Berwick. Not all pitches have views tho.Site very well kept. The east coast main train line runs along next to the site but it never bothered us,in fact once you hear the trains a couple of times you no longer notice them. Its a nice walk into Berwick or you can catch a bus on the exit of the site. My only criticism is that some of the pitches can be a bit awkward to get you van in.We had pitch 22 and if we had not had a van mover fitted it would have been difficult to position our van. That said we will certainly be returning.

Peaceful relaxing break.

We've just returned from a 10 day stay on this site. Lovely views across the bay.  Wardens very friendly and helpful, lovely and clean.  We were pitched at the back so we had some noise from trains but after 1st day never noticed. However the view we had made up for the little bit of noise.  We will definitely be going back to this site.

Fantastic site and location

We stayed here for the first time last week and had a great time! We arrived too late to get a view of the sea from the pitch but we could get fantastic views from different parts of the site. The facilities were spotless and the warden was very friendly and helpful. We walked into Berwick each day, around the city walls, along to the lighthouse and also to the regimental museum. We had lunch at the Queens Head twice, an excellent meal. The main line does run along the back of the site but we got used to the noise! We will be back!

heaven on earth

we have visited seaview many times over the past 30 years. wheather it's a quiet stroll along the seafront or a look around the shops you have everything right on your doorstep, the view from your caravan window is breath taking. There are other attractions also only a short drive away. We shall certainly be back. Also don.'t forget the friendly wardens John&Julia Smith Hexham
