Just Need to Learn to Control The Weather

We arrived late and ended up with a pitch furthest away from the facilities. However we changed the following day to a more convenient pitch for the remainder of our stay. Facilities super clean and a credit to the staff. Berwick is a nice place to explore and public transport is on the doorstep. A super beach is only a short walk away. Looking forward to returning on a regular basis

Nice Site

We recently stopped off here for a few nights with the motorhome. We managed to get a pitch with a sea view which was stunning, although the warden wasn't to happy as the pitch was about a foot to short for our motor home although he resolved it by placing a cone at the front of the motorhome ! A little bit of work on the caravan clubs part could be done on the grass area that has excellent sea views to level it a bit and make it easier for parking. The nearby train line never bothered us. The toilet facilities were spotless and turning the ladies in to UniSex while the gents is being cleaned is an excellent idea, a few more sites should take note of this ! overall a nice site and recommended.

worth the drive

spent 5 days here and loved it. The wardens gave advice on the pitches and gave us some dog food left by previous camper as unused as we have 2 dogs. The site is very well cared for and very clean, the toilet block is of a good standard and the showers kept very good heat. The wardens showed us the quick route into Berwick which is well worth a visit for the shops or the many places to eat and also close to the beach which is dog friendly. The pitches are terraced so you are still able to get great views from many areas of the site, would recommend this site

Great Views

Just spent two nights here. Wardens very helpful and site very well kept. The train line passes immediately behind the site so obviously there is some noise but you get used to it. The site is well placed for walking into Berwick where there's lots of places to eat and of course very handy for the train station should you want to get the train to Edinburgh. We'd happily use it again.

My stay

Excellent service quickly booked and told pitches for best sea view.although you can park either way a caravan had pulled next to me with there door facing mine.I asked them to turn around as with there awning it would have come right over and faced my door.Apart from that all ok

Great site, shame that some members can't abide by the rules!

This is a great site especially for those from England wanting to tour Scotland and vice versa. Easy access to an unspoilt beach and a lovely dog walk to Berwick itself via the coast. The wardens are the friendliest we've ever come across, incredibly helpful and no insistence on parking your van nose to the road which means everyone can take advantage of the view. It's just a shame that some members can't abide by the CC rules and insist on arriving before 13:00, in some cases before 12:00! It's very unfair on the wardens who have things that they need to do between pitch swap overs, and it isn't helpful for those trying to leave via the narrow steep access road either.

Good for touring

Stayed for 5 nights from 12 to17 August. Site was very busy but no noise. Wardens were very friendly. Site is ideal for seeing Northumberland and Scottish Borders. The site would benefit from another shower and toilet block. It is a long walk in the rain from pitches on either end of the site so own facilities are essential. Plenty to see around Berwick and a great beach at Spittal.

dont bring your dogs here

this is a lovely site with all the usual caravan club facilities but spoiled by dog owners letting their dogs urinate and foul the site. there is no dog walk here but one of the male wardens seems to think it is acceptable to let dog owners to use the site as a dog toilet. yes most clean it up but they leave the grass contaminated for others to sit in it and children play in it.

First site

Berwick was the first site we used since joining the cc, and I am glad to say that it was a very enjoyable stay.  Shower blocks were clean and warm, grounds well kept, and wardens friendly. Great views, and although we were beside the railway track it was a quiet site, the trains didn't disturb us at all. Nothing for the kids, but it is a small site so maybe understandable.  There is an area of rough grass land at the entrance, for dog walking, please be fastidious about cleaning up after your dog as we don't want to upset the rugby club who's pitch is adjacent. Only slight criticism is that the road is fairly narrow which makes manoeuvring a wee bit tricky, but maybe that's just with me being a newbie. Nice area with lots to explore and we look forward to returning soon.

Perfect for Northumberland

We stayed for 6 nights. Was a bit worried by the train noise when realised we were probably as close as you could get to the railway line (couldn't see it through the trees). However it never really bothered us so don't let it put you off. Site had the usual clean shower block (although common with many others there's always a lack of hooks and always find the cubicles quite small). We enjoyed the walk into Berwick and found the seafood excellant. Only a 45 minute train journey to Edinburgh but need to get advance tickets as it's pricey on the day. Not all pitches have a see view and as is often the case with the caravan club the proportion of tarmac and hardstanding to grass makes it seem like a carpark in places. It's well positioned though for a great Northumberland/Borders stay. The beach at Spittal looked like it would be great for young kids and the area is very unspoilt.
