Not the best example of a caravan club site

Stayed one night to break journey after being at another site the differences couldn't be more marked. The welcome was not pleasant as we had not visited before we were not sure we're to go the road markings do not make it clear either as there was also a caravan in front my husband didn't think he would fit so stayed where he was he then got waved through by a very irritated warden to park alongside the other caravan. The ladies attitude din not improve while booking in. Site looks scruffy although not just the layout. We were given a key to toilets but pointless as people just put the snip lock on. Unlike most sites there seemd no respect for individuals pitches with people just using them as a cut through. Would be a good site for exploring Blackpool. Despite the fact there was a lot of children staying and it's location to attractions that attract children there was no tourer explorer activities.

First time caravanners

Easy to find site and a friendly welcome straight away. We were invited to chose our own pitch after being advised where the noisier places may be by the road and the play park. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Other CC members on site were generous and friendly especially when they found out it was our first time in a van. Loved the walk to St Anne's and Lytham. Site facilities were very clean and well maintained. We will be back.

Blackpool Rocks

PROS, Super clean facilities Convenient for motorway , Good playground , Fish and chip van on Saturday night , Good security , Mobile phone signal good , Satellite friendly. CONS, Narrow roads and tight corners , Noise from highway 24/7 , Long way from attractions, car parking in Blackpool is very expensive.

Good for families, close to beaches etc

Easily reached from short extension to M55. Just off Progress Way and close to a small industrial estate BUT even though our pitch (20) was close to the road, noise was NOT an issue at night. in fact remarkably quiet for the location. STEEL ROCK PEGS ESSENTIAL FOR AWNINGS! The hardstandings ARE very hard! Small but adequate play area for the younger children with quality equipment and safe, soft flooring. Our grandkids thought it was goid Play Value. Note - a big Morrisons a mile and a half away. Very cyeap fuel. Two adults and two kids can eat evening meal for £10 total. Dont know how they do it for the price! Excellent site, handy for beaches. We preferred lytham St Annes to the dirty, litter strewn Blackpool ones - and parking is a doddle!!! Tip - drive to Starr Gate, park in a side street (we did), get tram to Blackpool or even Fleetwood using Bus Pass or buying their Day Saver Family ticket.

Well managed site

This was this our 2nd stay this summer, well situated for a trip into Lytham or St Annes as well as Blackpool. The showers/toilet blocks are kept very clean and the cleaning schedules are adhered to. The site is also well maintained, and is of a high standard as we have experienced with all club sites so far having only started caravanning in April 2016. The site is a little remote from the surrounding attractions if you want to have alcoholic beverages so you are reliant on booking taxis as the bus service is non-existent, apart from this i would recommend this site.

Skint.

Here for three nights. Nice site but a non existent bus service left us relying on taxis, £10 set charge cost us £60 for 3 days In Blackpool. Won't be back.

Great site but....

Poor location and poor bus service...reliant on taxis if you don't want to drive.....and they're expensive. It's a shame because the site is of usual club standard but let down by its position to all the attractions

Great site

Stayed here for 2 nights in out motorhome. Arrived latish so not much choice of pitches left. Some pitches are in the shade and some have full sun (if there is any). Very clean and tidy site. Love that there are no push button taps for water. Showers run for as long as you shower and are as hot as you want and never ran out. The site was clean as were the facilities each time we used them. We took our motorhome off site as the weather looked a little uncertain but there is a cycle track to cycle to Blackpool Beach which we had planned to do originally. The country road outside is quite busy with cars heard driving fast along it which must be locals using a short cut. So a pitch away from the road would be better!! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had no problems while on this site and would stay again if in the area. Definitely recommend.
