First Stay - Enjoyable

For a first stay on a caravan club site we were very happy with our experience. Reception staff were friendly and it was easy to find a suitable pitch. Toilets very clean and easy to get to from the whole site. Good information point, and a 10 min drive from Blackpool centre and the seaside town of Lytham.

lovely site

great site and the wardens are very helpful.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this site and will return asap. could do with more service points around the site, especially near the 50's pitches. this was the opinion of several members that we spoke to.

goid location

Good location, friendly site, not ideal for dog owners as walk was via busy lane with no path.

Pleasant little site.

The site was ideally situated at end of M55 for Blackpoll (ugh) and Lytham St Annes (lovely) however the pitches close to the main road very noisy. Fortunately we were sited other end close to reception which was ideal. The facilities coped considering it was a Bank Holiday weekend and site was full. A pain having to carry toilet block key due to "traveller" issues.  The site is NOT very dog friendly, the dog walk is a very small area outside the site along a dirt track busy road. The overall feeling from the wardens was anti dogs probably due to complaints from CC members.  Not our favourite site, came to Blackpool and discovered Lytham St Annes which is a gem. Probably won't revisit but no major gripes.

Don't pitch on the roundabout!!...

Site was clean, tidy and wardens most polite and helpful. A word of advice, if you want a quiet , peaceful time avoid pitches around number 19 etc, as traffic noise from the main road and roundabout was unbearable for most of the day and night and well into the early hours of the morning, which made our stay (with two young children) intolerable!

a weeks holiday (28th may)

came down for my brother in laws wedding and couldn't of asked for a better week, the sun was out all the time. the only problem that we felt let down by was the childrens behaviour in and around the play area. we have 2 children who use the facilities, but make sure they are quiet and out of the park by 8pm. the wardens had to come out of their homes after 9pm to move the children on, alot of the children were over 10 and had no respect. will be back in a few years

Cracking site

This site is well placed for the local area, either exploring the coast or going further afield into the Lakes or the Dales. Lovely site, well appointed, friendly wardens (though I've been there when that wasn't always the case!). Spacious pitches with a surprising amount of privacy Try the Coast Riders diner just down the road and a fish & chip van calls regularly. Being just off the motorway it's easy to get to and I understand a bus runs regularly from near the site into Blackpool. Beaches are good - as long as the tide is out - and theres a lovely par 3 18 hole gold course on the front at St Annes - I can recommend the carvery pub beside the gold course as well. The pitches are hardstanding so remember your rock pegs and I'd go for 20, 21, 22 or 23. However they're beside the play area so if you still want the sun as well as peace and quiet pitch further round There is a bit of traffic noise but nothing to worry about and there's a Tesco and Morrisons nearby so if you're there for a week or more, stocking up won't be a problem

Two night stay

We are newbies with an older van but we were made to feel at home at this site.  We will definitely be back.  Wardens really helpful and a very clean and friendly site.
