We have visited this site many times, very often at October half term, and return time and again because it's fab!
This time we could only manage Halloween weekend and arrived Friday evening with 2 granddaughters in tow. 1 & 3 years. This is the last weekend before the site closes, so I suppose you half expect the site and the wardens to be jaded, but this was definitely not the case of either. A lovely friendly and very helpful welcome giving us several fun activities to do with the 3YO, you couldn't ask for anything more.
The site is lovely. We always opt for the bottom of the site, the traffic noise not really bothering us at all. Lovely big pitch pointed out by the wardens when I told them the area we wanted to go on.
Leek is a fantastic town and over the years we have visited we have seen a great deal of regeneration with some great independent shops opening up. They offer their own daytime "trick or treat" for the little ones and this was brilliant - a real hit.
Tittesworth Resevoir near to the site is also well worth a visit. Lovely long walks / short strolls / cafe / play area, even undercover BBQ area. One of the best we have visited.
We will definitely return next year and can't recommend this site and the wardens enough.
