Last weekend of the Season

A very attractive site, very clean and tidy and very dog friendly. All wardens were very professional and extremely kid friendly. The queue for chips on saturday night was long but not surprising as they were very good quality. Road on 1st visit was noisey as we were pitched by entrance but on second visit (the last weekend of season) we were further into the site on a serviced pitch and the road was a lot quieter. Our children loved the Halloween hunt and the friendliness of orher caravanners who answered their doors for trick or treating. Will be back for sure -a credit to the club! Many thanks

Last weekend for the site, perfect

It was the last weekend in October including the first day of November. Our intension with our home, 'Buxton' 30 minuets up the road was to cycle ‘The Manifold Trail’.  We arrived at midday and we were greeted by friendly very helpful staff with a lovely sense of humour (for me the perfect welcome). I discussed our requirements and we were offered a number of appropriate pitches. We settled on one (we asked for enough room for Caravan Car and Cycles) it was just perfect, hard standing catching the early morning sun right through to the setting sun. The usual facilities were spotless and very well appointed just as we have come to expect from the Caravan Club Sites. We enjoyed a super weekend and left on Sunday with the outside temperature showing an incredible for the time of year 22deg C (on seeing the Sunday evening news it was a new record temperature for October / November was achieved) fantastic. A perfect weekend!   Caravanning is Just very special!

Lovely Stay

The reception staff here were absolutely brilliant. The site was well looked after.   The toilets though, after the children arrived for their half term hols, started to deteriorate in their cleanliness and I do wish that parents would accompany their children to the toilet block, so that they would remain in a decent state. Early morning shower recommended here for those travelling without children!

Great site

With no late night arrivals area, I was a trifle worried about arriving after 8pm. I needn't have. The warden rang me, to enquire about my ETA. The site was the usual excellent standard. The dog walk was the only negative, not what the Lab needed.

great weekend

My wife and I have stayed on this site a couple of times in the past, we love the location, I just want to thank the assistant wardens for the help they gave us this weekend both sorting out our aerial problems and directing the brake down truck to our pitch, they are both ideal people for the job. If it was not for them we would have missed Strictly on Saturday night the only thing worth watching. der der der der der der der der der der der der DER DER DER

Super Site

A really good site, the only downfall is the road noise but, we would still go again it was so good. Well done to the staff who ensured that the site was at its best. The different walks, cycle network and National Trust places makes it a place we will visit again and again.

Superb Staffordshire Site

This Site is just what Caravaners are looking for! The welcome is second to none. Happy, helpful and interested staff who are certainly keen that your stay will  be really enjoyable. The site is just what you would expect from this Club. The standards of cleanliness, the blossoming flowerbeds and the carefully located pitches show that the Wardens really care. The facilities, (washing, showers, toilets and sinks), are first class. A small but excellent point is that the cleaning takes place in the afternoon and so you will not be rushing in the morning to beat the "Cleaning Closure".  The Information Area and the Shop are of a similar standard to the rest of the site. Well organised and comprehensive.  You can guess that we were really impressed and we have noted that a return visit next year will be a must. There is only one thing missing, so beware. There is no sign on the main road to indicate the entrance to the site if you are approaching from Leek.
