Visited this site earlier in September for 3 nights. Though in a beautiful location, it was probably a bit too quiet for us, as we like to walk to the local village/pub when on site, but Blair Drummond is isolated. The showers look like they have been updated fairly recently, and I guess at some considerable expense, but were sadly let down by mouldy ceilings and mouldy curtains. We found the staff to be very helpful, though perhaps over-stretched, which may account for the poor standards in the washrooms. Stirling is 6 miles away. The castle is great, but the town centre looked a bit scruffy and litter strewn when we visited. All in all, a bit of a let down really. We won't be using 'affiliated' sites again, as from previous experience, CC sites have consistently higher standards.
