A great family break!

Stayed here for 4 nights with 3 kids and 2 puppies, can honestly say we had a great time! Very friendly and helpful staff, beautifully clean site and facilities! The dog walk area is amazing, first time taking our pups away with us and this was a godsend, such a big enclosed, safe area we allowed them off lead for the first time! The only grumble we had was nothing to do with the site but unfortunately a group of other people stopping there, one of the women appeared to have a problem with any children that weren't part of her group, yelling at quite a few kids, one of them being my 8 year old daughter who she threatened to have 'thrown off' the site, utterly disgraceful attitude of a fellow caravan club member but in the 7 or so years we have had a caravan this is the first time we have ever encountered anyone like this! Would never let this put us off though and would definitely return to the site and recommend it to friends!!!

A lovely site "BUT "

We stayed at Bridlington Club site a few days ago , and being out of school holidays thought it would be quiet . WRONG . We asked for a pitch near toilets as my wife is disabled , and the friendly wardens obliged . The site was immaculate , facilities first class , and always kept spotlessly clean . However our stay was spoiled by children who used the area in front of our caravan as a play ground . All day long they were chasing round on scooters , skate boards and bicycles . We put up with this for a few days , but when the foot balls came out , enough was enough . So we left . I am afraid "dear parents " this is an accident in waiting . I must applaud all car drivers in keeping to 5mph. but the number of near misses we witnessed was appalling . One day someone is going to come to grief. It only takes a driver backing out from his unit , and a child shooting by on bike or what ever , and BANG .I know the subject of children has been bought up time and again , but having witnessed this first hand I feel it is time something was done . I can't fault the site or facilities , and please do not let my review put you of from visiting . First class location , first class facilities , wonderful wardens . Shame about some of the visitors !!!

What a little gem

We would like to just take the opportunity to say thank you to all of the wardens who we spoke to and dealt with on site. We had our first outing with a caravan and could not have been blessed with more kind, helpful and gentle souls. We had the wrong hammer for our pegs and one of the wardens came to see us with the correct hammer. We had an issue with our electrics on our last evening but one of the wardens came out to help in the dark and lent us a lamp for the night from their own caravan so our children were not in the dark. One of our little dogs escaped and was picked up by one of the neighbouring caravanners, who was extremely kind. We would highly recommend the site for its cleanliness, the dog exercise area and the showering facilities together with the attitude and competency of the staff. You get what you pay for! Keep up the standards, many thanks to you all

Comes at a price !

We have just spent a pleasant weekend on this site found all the usual high standards that you can find on club sites .However ,at £32 pounds per night for 2 adults it was not a cheap stay. I think the club is getting a bit greedy given that there is nothing else on the site for adults apart from the toilet block .

Still one of our favourite sites

Absolutely a fabulous site, can't fault anything, wardens cheerful and helpful, has normal toilets spotless, we always finish off at Bridlington in October good bracing walks along the cliffs and down into Devil's Dyke, great little Chippie in Sewbrey, see you later in the year.

What has the club done to this lovely site?

We have been regular visitors since this site opened and at our last visit noticed the young trees and bushes were starting to grow giving a degree of character and privacy. On this visit all the landscaping has been removed as dumped in the dog walk field. The site is now barren and without personality. Lots more grass (and fluttering tape) for children to play football and ride bikes on. What an utter waste of member's money. No wonder prices have risen so dramatically. How long before the wonderful radio and underfloor heating are pulled from the shower block! Bridlington was for us becoming special now it's becoming just like all the others - pretty predictable. Maybe if this continues we will have to consider that 'other' club. Thanks to the wardens for a love if disappointing stay.

Comment from the Club:

Many thanks for your review. We are sorry that you had some concerns on you most recent stay and would like to clear up any confusion. The landscaping that has taken place on site was to improve the general appearance of the site. The mounds of earth that were covered in brash and thistles have been flattened and turfed, these areas have been cordoned off with tape temporarily to stop people walking on the new turf until it settles. Please be assured there are also plans to replant a few trees and possibly hedges. The brash and cleared undergrowth has been put along one edge of the dog walk. This was in the area that grass clippings were left already so we would like to reassure you that it has had no added impact and the dog walk remains the same nice space for dogs to run. Just to put members minds at ease there are also no plans to get rid of the under floor heating or the music in the toilet block. We hope that this clears up any confusion and that everyone continues to enjoy their stay at this lovely site. The wardens hope to welcome you again soon.

Nice site

Very nice well maintained site. Quiet for this time of year. Recommend the farm shop around the corner. Fully serviced pitch makes all the difference.

We'll be back

Have to agree with other positive comments, particularly how good the wardens are. As soon as we pulled on to our pitch the warden was by the side of us. In the past over-fussy wardens have been there to make sure you get to the required number of millimetres away from the peg, and I half-expected a similar approach. But no. He actually offered and gave assistance to push our van to the correct position. Thank you! We were disappointed with the local farm shop which did not have a great choice of produce commonly seen in other farm shops. Pubs wise, the best local is The Ship just a mile or so away, but the best one we found was in the Old Town, the Bull and Sun. Top marks to them, also helped by being dog-friendly as well. Great location of the site for days out to Whitby, Beverley and Hull, not to mention Bridlington itself and Scarborough and Filey. Next time we're due to visit the East Coast again we'll be back here!

Well organised, well run site.

A very pleasant site, located mid way between Bridlington and Flamborough. The warden was very friendly and helpful. We found it peaceful, apart from piped Radio 2 music in the toilet/ shower block. There is a very handy farm shop nearby, for breakfasts and snacks.
