A lovely week

I have just had a lovely week at Buxton, a good location for visiting the local attractions and shopping at the Trafford centre ( only when it rains ). There are good local pubs, must go to the Cat and Fiddle a great pub up the hill to Macc. The wardens were very friendly and the site was in first class condition, it is true the shower block is dated but perfectly okay. The site is very well laid out in an old quarry and the vans are spread out with larger than normal pitches - I don't like vans in neat rows. Good for dogs, walking and cycling. You won't be disappointed.

FANTASTIC FOR WALKING

First time at this site, what a gem. everything about this site is just great. The wardens were very helpful and always pleasant. The site is very well kept, nice and clean and tidy. wardens work very hard to keep it so nice. The walking is just fantastic with a wow scenery. Only about 15 minute walk into Buxton. If you have'nt been to this site, Then please make time and visit, You wont be disappointed.

First but certainly not last visit

This is a great site, with very friendly wardens who work continually to make everyones holiday a pleasurable time. As stated before the amenities block is a little tired but is totally acceptable and immaculately kept. The site will definitely appeal to people who enjoy walking as there are some lovely walks directly from the site. Will definitely be returning next year.

Compact but perfectly formed

Set in an old quarry, within a country park, this is an excellent site. The pitches are quite tight to get into but well worth it. The walk into the beautiful town of Buxton is well worth it, albeit a little longer than stated. Recommend making a note of the local taxi for the return to camp leg. Would recommend to others and go back again.

One of the best sites we gave ever been on

This site is beautifully situated and being  next to the Country Park great for walking our dogs .A lovely but challenging in parts  walk through the woods down to Buxton. All of the wardens very friendly and helpful .I read a few reviews about the showers and yes may be a bit dated compared to some of the others sites but really clean and lovely  hot water  so I had no complaints .We shall definitely visit again and recommend to others

POOR SHOWER'S

we spent 4 nights here 9-11 th September and had a great time. The Wardens were very helpful and friendly , managed to see the British Cycle Race which passed through, lovely site lots to see & do . Will need to return to see more, the only downside we observed was the pressure of water in the shower's was very poor, be can this be rectified ?.

Weekend away

what can I say a perfect site, clean, tidy and excellent facilities, first time for many years I have used a club site and this one has restored my faith!  the wardens were just lovely friendly, welcoming and spoke whenever you saw them, a friendly good morning goes such a long way.  chips on Saturdays, Pasties on Friday I think everything you could want, just sorry we only had two days, we cannot wait to come back and stay longer and have  good explore.  There is nothing to fault this site in our opinion.  Thank you and see you soon

Buxton Club Site

We recently spent 9 days at this site, great location, particularly if you like walking. Conveniently close to Buxton and access to the Peak District. Had a problem when we were leaving, the site staff were very friendly and helpful. The only down side was the condition of the toilets/shower block, this should be rectified when it is extended and modernised. No idea when this will be done. Would certainly visit again.
