What a gem of a site this is for the Caravan and Motorhome Club

You can tell this site has been privately owned as it isn't quite the same as a normal club site. The CAMC took this site on in 2021. It is near a fairly busy road but even in our pop up camper van we weren't too bothered by it as there are plenty of established hedges, trees and landscaping. The site is big and split into quite a few areas. There are four toilet blocks - some newer than others. They have unisex showers which we really liked - the toilets are separate. The block where the games room is older but this did not bother us too much. The water pressure good and the temperature fabulous ! No push button for the shower. The games room has a piano in (bring your own music if you can't play by ear), a table tennis table, big TV and sofas and books and games. The reception area is lovely and where all the information is and the bar/cafe - all very inviting and WARDENS ARE SUPER friendly and very jolly. There are various food vans that visit the site - we didn't use any so can't comment. Pitches are well spaced and some have picnic tables on. Access to the site is really good. We have bikes so we spent a lot of time going to places on two wheels - be warned it is very hilly but mostly you can get to places using quiet lanes or cycle ways. Tresilick NT which is only 3 miles away approximately. They have a court yard restaurant and a restaurant in the house as well. Gardens and walks are beautiful. St Michaels Mount was lovely too - NT, Godolphin House NT a bit of a let down. Seal Sanctuary at Gweek - BRILLIANT, loved every minute. Can highly recommend this for a visit whether you are young or old. Trebah gardens - gorgeous Glendurgan NT gardens, also stunning. Both are fairly hilly but have adapted well for all users. Lanhydrock NT was STUNNING - the gardens are incredible and the smells from all the flowers divine - (it was second week of May). Eden Project really enjoyed the whole experience. The Mineral trail can be found easily from the site - this can be walked or cycled. Be warned some of it is not signposted that well. If you go out of the site and turn left (on your bike), follow the road until you get to a cross roads - turn left and follow this road over the main road and down through the village. If you keep following this road down the hill you will see a cycle triangle warning sign and the trail starts just past - go left to go to Deveron - not much there but go right and you can cycle literally over to the other coast line. On route you cycle under viaducts, through arsenic mines, tin mines, beauty spots, stunning views and not that far along - about a mile or so along you come to a cycle cafe, but if you follow the trail (at the end of the car park turn right up the track not straight on) you will come in another mile or so to Bon Appetit, fabulous cafe with gigantic cake as well as full lunches etc. We cycled all the way over to Redruth. Some of the surfaces aren't great.. Pendennis Castle - great.
