Super site in ideal location

We stayed a week at the end of July. It's a great site in an ideal location for exploring Snowdonia. The wardens are very accommodating and keep the site spotless. Highly recommended.

Lovely site

Only stayed for 1 night in July, but what a lovely site, and in a beautiful location, sadly it rained the whole time we were there, but it did t stop us appreciating how hard the wardens work e eno. Bad conditions to keep the site clean and tidy.  Will definately be back to use this site as a base for exploring the area.

Great site!

Had an amazing 3 days staying at this site.  Well impressed with the layout, cleanliness and friendliness of the wardens.  We used it as a base for exploring west highland Welsh railway and were not disappointed.  Very lucky with the weather although it did turn a bit overcast on our last day.  The pub I agree just outside the campsite is basic but the food is great.  Give the chicken and leek pie a try its lovely and homemade.  Can't comment on how good for families as don't have kids, did however see a few kids enjoying themselves. Certainly worth a visit and great access to loads to do in area.

A wet week in Wales

The site is great with all the facilities that we love from CC sites. Wifi was good, Wardens were great, weather was wet at the site, but a short drive towards the coast and things picked up wonderfully. The pub over the road from the site was fine for beer and 'pub' grub (try the pies - very good). Plenty of things around the area to entertain us, no kids so can't comment on that. We're going back as there are lots of things that we still want to do that we couldn't fit into the week.

Good site

We really enjoyed our 3 nights here, even if the weather was not very good. It's a good location to use a a base to visit Snowdonia and the surrounding area. Access to the site is easy, apart from a couple of hundred yards of single track road right by the entrance. It makes the importance of following the leaving and arrival times very relevant. The site was full when we arrived, that was a Monday (outside main school holidays). During the next few days there were a couple of spaces. There were no waits to use the showers. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. They certainly know what customer service is. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. It's lovely how the site is split into different areas all separated by established trees. The toilets and showers were very clean. The shower cubicles are small with plastic curtains and a small plastic seat. But as mentioned they were very clean and there was plenty of hot water. There is a toilet and shower annex which is open when the main block is being cleaned. We were on pitch 49 and did need to use a leveller. The electrics are the twist style which caught us out at first. Mobile phone coverage with Three was good using 3G. We didn't use the WiFi on the site. TV reception was good, the site has a booster aerials. Would we stay here again? Certainly.

Great site

Up to the usual high spec I've come to expect from the caravan club. Great layout and high standard of facilities. Only point I'd make is the washing up sinks could do with a shelf above as there was limited space to put stuff other than in the sink or on the draining board. Lovely site though and would definitely go again.

Brief Visit

Very welcoming friendly wardens which is just what we needed after a long journey.  Site quiet with all the facilities required.  Ideally situated for visiting North Wales.  Just a pity about the weather, we were unable to appreciated the scenery!  Cannot comment on the good for families bit but the playground looked good.

Well laid out site, lovely dog walk area.

This is quite a large site but it is laid out in smaller sections with trees through out and there is a lovely dog walk. I think the toilet/shower block has recently been renovated as it is spotless with a smaller older annex attached. The TV signal has also recently been boosted. Very site easy to find and lots to see in the surrounding area. Friendly wardens and in general a very nice site.
