Excellent

Our first visit, stayed over the new year period, pretty sure we will return. Good location , not as difficult to navigate to as i first thought. Site clean and well maintained, wardens....first class, a credit to the club, helpful, polite, made us feel at home, nothing too much trouble on what was a very busy time.even put drinks and snacks on in the office for new years eve, nice touch, well done. Mini bus from site into city on new years eve, perfect £10 each return, cheaper than a taxi for a mile in our home town !!used the second toilet block, the one  that shut on 3rd January, a little dated but clean and did the job. 10/10 from us

Fitted the bill really well.

At the last minute (York was under water) we opted to visit Edinburgh on 28th December for a couple of days. The site had a few spaces left, not many, and the very helpful staff sorted us out. Having been out for a good few days in a small camper we were in need of hot showers and a washing machine. Both were well provided for. The site is "in" Edinburgh but actually quite some distance from the bits you probably want to see however, there is a shuttle taxi service which was superb in both service & price. We had a great time whilst here. Only down sides are the road running alongside the site, not a particularly busy one and it was on the airport flight path. There was noise from both but it didn't intrude much. Would definitely use it again.

New Years Eve

Just back from a short break to welcome in the new year in this amazing city. The site was almost full as you might expect at this time of year. We have been here before and always found it to be wonderful, I think special praise for the winter wardens is called for they laid on a wonderful reception on new years eve for everyone it was really appreciated by everyone who attended, so well done to them. We shall return.

Just what we needed

This was my first ever touring caravan holiday. Wow, I am spoilt when comparing with others. The staff were superb, so helpful and kind. We had a serviced pitch, have since had non serviced and it's great not to have to fill the Aquaroll all the time. The toilet block was superb, nice hot showers, lovely warm floor, plenty loos and hand basins.  Security was excellent and the dog walk is fun, look for the Haggis conservation area!? The site is opposite a long flight of steps down to a superb coastline walk. N.B. Steps a bit slippy in the wet but walk great for humans and dogs. The public bus stop wasn't right outside the site but a mini bus from the site will take you into central Edinburgh.  The pitches were completely flat and spacious. The info said to have a double male connector for the water supply, we had one in the kit for serviced pitches including the ball valve (think that's the right term). So no worries there. We will be going back very shortly. Loved it!

Stayed for a few days and found the site quiet and we'll run. Bus stop not far away, which will take you right to Princess street

Nice area near Edinburgh

The Edinburgh site is ideal for trips in and out of the city centre and walks along Crammond promenade. The site is clean and well maintained and is certainly worth another visit. Edinburgh airport is nearby but jet noise is not a disturbance.

Great site

We stayed here in November and were pleasantly surprised at how well run and friendly the site was. We were greeted very warmly and quickly shown to our pitch. Everything was immaculate and the site itself was well organised. The dog walk in particular was a joy. Our two dogs loved it. The situation is ideal for the Forth bridges, The Royal Yacht and the centre of Edinburgh. In our case visiting the Christmas markets. The site is also withing walking distance of the promenade on the Forth. Only small issue for me was the proximity of the road to the serviced pitches. Although not a main road it was surprisingly busy. Having said that my wife didn't think it was a problem. Perhaps for more peace and quiet it would be better to pitch on one of the non-serviced pitches away from the road. Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back and recommending it to friends and relatives. Thanks again for a memorable stay.

Helpful and friendly

This is an excellent, well run, clean & tidy site which we use regularly. It is only a short shuttle bus or taxi ride from Edinburgh and there are lovely walks nearby along the banks of the Firth of Forth. A special mention for site staff member Sam, who was exceptionally helpful when our taxi didn't turn up and we were going to be late for our lunch appointment. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Good Site

Really nice clean site, Depending on where your wanting to go, its not a brilliant location, if its to town, definitely get the shuttle bus or a taxi, there's no buses outside the campsite anymore, and the closest one is a 10-15min walk and its not a very nice area to stand and wait, and the bus drive is very long, but its right across the road from the beach which stretches for hours walking. The site itself is a nice site, it has a secure dog park, large area for tents, campervan/caravan sites are very spacious, toilets are always clean, on site fish van (would NOT recommend) the shuttle bus from the site to the town is very handy, but you have to book certain times to leave and come back, and you are dropped off at the top end of town away from the royal mile but its a 10-15min walk to the mile, I would stay here again.
