A well placed, well run site in a lovely little village

From the very welcoming check-in, to the sound of the river next to our pitch, the lovely village and the stag and does on our walk the whole of our stay was lovely. The staff were very approachable and friendly with helpful hints as to the walks around the area. The local shops are well stocked, the butchers (just a shame I couldn't buy the venison to take home as we were touring around) the deli, the grocers and the co-op could happily provide all your needs whilst staying.

Always a treat

This site is so well positioned for this delightful town. I am sure the income from the Club site keeps this town as great as it is with its shops, cafe's and bars. The site has the river on one side, which is great to listen to while you lay in bed with the roof window open. Walks are abound from the site and Exmoor is worth a visit any time of year. Back to the site, The wardens are very friendly and do a great job, particularly in these Covid infested times. The site is peaceful and very well looked after. The only advice I can offer you all is to get your wellies on and take a Winter break before it shuts for the season.

Second visit this year

Regrettably just four nights on this occasion, but we will keep coming back. From the friendly welcome from Debbie and Keith, the cleanliness of the facilities, the wooded valley surrounding the site, to the proximity of the delightful little market town of Dulverton, Exmoor House has it all. We may well manage another visit before the year is out!

Lovely peaceful site within walking distance of Dulverton

We stayed for 3 nights on this lovely site in the heart of Somerset. On arrival we were given the pitch around the corner from the office which was right next to the toilet block. I did say we weren’t happy with it and were offered a move to the pitches near the river the next morning. Lovely tranquil spot with the river flowing behind us. This site is very peaceful. There is a dog walk, two toilet blocks and shower and dishwashing facilities. Also a laundry. Dulverton town is within walking distance from the site. There is a pub The Bridge Inn which serves lovely food. It has outdoor seating. There is a co op in the town also a fish and chip shop a butchers and other shops. A further two pubs. It’s a very pretty town with the River Barle running through the middle. Minehead is approximately 40 minutes away and we spent a day there too. A lovely break away on a lovely site and we will definitely return.

Met up with other members of Owners Club. Our first visit but 33rd year the club has met up here.

The location of the site is superb both in its own right and in relation to the lovely little town of Dulverton. Wardens lovely, facilities lovely, company lovely .Whats not to like????? The tv booster system would deliver nothing to our van despite trying two cables. Every van around had reception. I miss my Corrie!!!!! Seriously though, not a lot else to moan about, with the possible exception of the last four days weather. A bit damp to say the least.

Lovely peaceful site

Just returned from 7 night stay. This was our 5th stay (we have come every year since we started caravaning in 2016). We absolutely love this site. Small, quiet and ideal location. Small village of Dulverton ideal for quick shop and fish & chip shop is very good. Walks through woods near by and middle of exmoor on 15 min drive. Both ideal for walking and fresh air, and for our two dogs. Very friendly and helpful wardens. We will be returning again next year and future years.

Small & Quiet

Our first trip to this site, and very pleasing indeed. The river runs along side it which can be heard rushing over the stones. The places available alongside it tended to be taken by motorhomes and had no grass between each pitch, also not much room, but the others were set around the site nicely to all have a good view of the woodland/forest above. The facilities were all kept very clean and the wristband procedure worked 90% of the time. We found on occasion that an odd person would have either left the band on the hook, giving the impression someone was still inside or, that sometimes more than the 2 allocated people would be inside, than the 2 bands on the door. This aside, all worked very well and we didn't feel at all unsafe using the facilities. Dulverton is right on the doorstep, a short walk from the site and you're right into the town with a Co-op that provided all that we required, and reasonably priced. Children, we didn't bring our grandchildren but no play park on site didn't seem to be a problem as across the bridge there is a local play park that also has goal posts/football area, assuming this is available to anyone of course. We ended up on pitch 57, no sunshine available unless we sat in the road, so if sun lovers, try opposite or round the other side. We'd gladly return, a most relaxing enjoyable stay indeed.

7 Days at Exmoor House

Just spent 7 nights at Exmoor House. Debbie and Kieth keep the site immaculate and their cleaning regime for the toilet and shower facilities cannot be faulted. Whenever we saw them on site they always had time for a brief friendly word and made us feel very welcome. Their band system for the facility’s worked without any problems that we saw and we will definitely be back

Beautiful Site

Exmoor House Site is a beautiful site, in a lovely location on the edge of the small town of Dulverton. There are some lovely walks straight from the site, and it is only s few minutes by car to be right up on the moors, where the walks are endless.

Loved this site

As the title say's loved this site , first time here but not the last very clean site and spotless toilet facilities, Wardens were very helpful especially the gentleman who's name i don't know who offered a roll of astro turf as our awning was on gravel . The old little village seemed to have everything we wanted great fish and chips and Thai restaurant (for the wife) The Bridge Inn was a little busy but great staff who refunded some of my money as i only drank a shandy not a a full pint and on my second visit gave us free gin and tonics when i tripped up the outside steps (my fault) will definitely be going back to this lovely site and to fish the near by river.
