Nice site close to the beach and coastal walks

Lovely site with very helpful and friendly wardens. I can't comment on the shower blocks as we just use our on-board facilities these days. Our only gripe was complete lack of phone/Internet connection on site. At current site prices, I would have thought that WiFi for club members would be included or at least a lot less than the £3.50 daily charge.

One of our favourites

Lovely site with great access to a sandy, dog friendly beach and wider access to Pembrokeshire. Clean, plentiful facilities and a basic site shop. Friendly wardens keep the place spotless as you would expect from a Club Site. Arrival time is strictly from 1pm as the lane backs up with traffic if vehicles are sat waiting which is a massive inconvenience for those leaving site in cars at this time. I know this is something that the wardens don't like as it diverts them away from jobs elsewhere on site. I do feel that some sites aren't strictly enforcing their 1pm arrival time with vans going in a few minutes early to save the rush etc. This is a knock on issue for Freshwater (and others with access issues) as people are arriving and assuming other vans have been allowed in and then you're part of the problem! Brilliant site though all round ☺️

Freshwater East Stay

The site was different from usual being long and thin, which is very different to many we have been to, as we stayed during the summer holidays there were many families and we found it quite noisy in the late afternoon and evening. The site was clean and very close to the beach 5 mins walk

Mid week break.

We used this site as a central base for Tenby, Pembroke and the area. The site and amenities were excellent as we know we can rely on from the CAMC. It's in walking distance of the little bay and many seemed to spend there entire visit there. ( We like to get out and about.) Strict I.00pm entry, but a large public car park by the beach. For navigation onto the site don't rely on 'phone signal, there is none.

Brilliant location and fabulous site

Great location, 10 minutes walk to dog-friendly beach, pub food within walking distance, plenty of things to do in the local area. On top of this the camp wardens were extremely helpful and very pleasant, the facilities are all spotless and everything you require is on hand. The WiFi worked well for my purposes and was useful given there is no mobile phone signal. We had a great 10 days here and definitely hope to return.

Fabulous stay

What a lovely warm welcome when we arrived on site the wardens even remembered our dog Boris from last year and were always ready with a cheery wave or chat. Lovely well kept site with very clean facilities very close to Freshwater beach which is beautiful. Fabulous coastal walks in either direction and we were lucky enough to have very calm seas for swimming and no jellyfish this year. Love the walk around Bosherton lily ponds to Broad Haven beach and back to Stackpole Quay, via the beautiful Barafundle bay, for a swim at the quay and then coffee and cake at the National Trust cafe. This year Jacks restaurant/ bar is open again and located next to the site if you fancy a coffee, beer or don’t fancy cooking: We were lucky and had marvellous weather but there are plenty of castles to visit and close to Tenby, Saundersfoot and Pembroke if weather not so good.

Fantastic

Initially I was hesitant - a steep hill down to the site and a layout which is linear heading away from the beach. Forget that. From the warm welcome and the spotless facilities through to the large, sunny (honest) pitch this was great. The nearby beach is terrific as are the clifftop coastal walks from the site north to Stackpole Quay or south to Manorbier. We loved Carew Castle and the mill (joint, inexpensive ticket) which offered a great picnic spot and the walk from there to the pub at Cresswell Quay. There, we sat outside whilst locals chatted fondly about the area. Will we be back? What do you think? Thank you.

One of our new favourites

Had a beautiful stay at Freshwater East for a couple of nights, tagged on the end of a 4 night stay in St Davids. Now we wish that Freshwater East was the longer of two as it was far better than our first stop. Stunning peaceful location, no mobile signal was a blessing too. Warden was friendly and funny on our arrival and made us feel very welcome. The lady in reception was the same. The team have a good well managed process for check ins. Beach was beautiful and we enjoyed watching a good variety of birds in the Secret Marsh reserve next to the site. Facilities well maintained and very clean. Will definitely be returning. Well done guys.
