One of our favourite sites

Haycraft is undoubtedly one of our favourite sites. Having heard there were some rather critical reviews last year I wondered if those concerned had been to a different site. We have visited Haycraft many times and never had any complaints. The wardens have always been very helpful, facilities clean and the site well kept. It is an ideal location for beaches and walks. We will certainly be back again.

NICE SITE

Just stayed at Haycraft for a few days. Really friendly reception from the new Wardens. Nice site in a lovely area, very convenient for Swanage & Studland beaches. Some improvements have been made since last year, some toilet block refurbishment has been done. Grounds maintenance work is needed. Grassed areas & shrubs etc need a lot of work and the warden was starting to tackle this big job when we were there. I am not in favour of pitch allocation but something needs to be done at this site. Small camper vans were occupying the large pitches on the upper level, whilst large caravans staying for the week with awnings, were on small pitches with our cars half in the road. Dog owners be aware that only half of the "dog areas" shown on the site plan are available. Still adequate but not as shown.

First Timer

As new club members using a club site for first time we were very impressed with the facilities - a small secluded site, handy for walks to local attractions. Made very welcome by wardens Terry & Claire who did their utmost to assist us with our stay, including managing a last night pitch relocation due to my inability to count or use a calendar adequately!!! Will most certainly be returning for a further visit. Steve & Yvonne Castle

Great place to stay

This was our first visit to the site and were a little apprehensive due to the poor reviews in 2014. The warm welcome and friendliness of the new wardens soon dispelled any misgivings. The site was clean, tidy; all you would expect from a Caravan Club site. Lovely walks directly from the site - the 3Km across fields to Corfe was easy going and flat, although if you wanted to the alternate route was up Nine Barrows down - a good climb to blow away the winter cobwebs. We'll be back !!

Good to be back

This was our third visit to this site. The work done recently on the shower block was needed and has made a big improvement. The new wardens were very helpful and friendly. The site is in a great location for beach and countryside alike. We love this time of year when we can let the dog run on Studland or Swanage beach. Durlston Country Park is also a great place for coastal walks. We look forward to going back.

Perfectly Acceptable

Contrary to the previous reviews, we enjoyed our stay, although only 1 night. The greeting from the resident wardens was ok, the fac. block was clean & tidy, and Trevor went out of his way to make sure that we were happy on our pitch, having had a limited selection. The fac. block has a 'gable' roof - so some cobwebs up in the apex roof are to be expected, I would suggest! Great situation to take in the Isle of Purbeck, & Swanage - but be warned! Do not park your motorhome on the seafront in Swanage - the (very small) warning signs say Cars & M/Cycles Only - and you end up with a parking ticket!
