Fabulous site and location

Superb location for walk into Henley and bus / train for trips further afield (eg Marlow, Windsor etc..) Fabulous site, excellent facilities and extremely helpful site staff. Chose a pitch away from the main road and it was peaceful, flat and large. Will definitely return as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only one slight difficulty for us was the motorhome service point grey waste drain which was on a narrow, sloping, one way part of the site with our waste pipe on the wrong side.

Great site.

Perfect location just a 15 minute stroll into town along a paved footpath. Choose a pitch nearer than back to avoid the road noise. Pitches are flat, spacious and well tended to. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Facilities are great - showers with decent drainage, that actually stay turned on, and are temperature adjustable too. Exactly what a club site should be like.

Enjoyable December Stay

We slowly motored towards Christmas and stayed here for 2 nights with our dog. The site wasn’t busy and the wardens, who were covering during Christmas were absolutely lovely. The showers were clean and warm, the little doggy area was excellent to let our pooch stretch his paws and the local walk along the river was peaceful and beautiful. The best bit though was the wildlife, absolutely loads of Red Kites swooping about and when we took the dog after dark, hundreds of rabbits rushed out of the way. Henley on Thames is a picturesque town with shops to meet all requirements. We would definitely return again.

A great site for exploring around Henley

We use this site frequently as our daughter is rowing at Henley. Henley town is just a short walk along an A road away. The site is attractive and the facilities are well maintained and adequate, I have never had to queue for a shower! There is some road noise as the site is alongside the A road but that is the only negative. We are happy to live with that and have easy access to Henley. This site is the only reason we joined the Caravan and Motorhome Club!

Regular visitor to this site

I stay here regularly; it's a perfect location for me. The facilities are a little dated, but spotlessly clean, and the site is really well looked after by the friendly staff. The site does have some road noise, but the pitches at the back of the site are much quieter, and I've always been offered a choice of pitches when available. I've already booked for 2024.

Disaster from start to finish

Where do i start !!!! First of all we accidently booked a blue peg pitch instead of a white one , Reason was we were not putting up an awning and not realising the size difference it was too small for our outfit ( BIG PICKUP AND BUCCANEER VAN ) Obvious i would think on arrival to the staff that we would struggle to fit but still we were given the tiny pitch. Parked slightly on the grass and was asked to park elsewhere which after a slight verbal exchange i did as asked. The male staff member saying that they had to tow a vehicle off the pith the week before so to keep the peace i went along with him. The following morning bearing in mind storm Deborah was forecast and well on it's way thee pitch we were on flooded and we woke up stranded in 6inches of water completely covering the entire pitch. I waded out and up to the new member of staff that had just taken over the site and advised him of my issues and that i was going to have to move pitch. He asked where i was moving too and i said the pitch opposite which was a white peg pitch. Another argument then starts as he expects me to move to another small blue peg pitch and could not care less about the flood we were in . i could understand the issue on a full site but the place was almost empty and his attitude to someone already extremely wound up made the anger levels rise even higher. Ever since the pandemic the club has gone downhill , half the staff are just plain miserable and or ignorant and unhelpful, the prices have shot up and the club has become something i feel i no longer want to support and will not re join but use independent sites in the future. Unable to put picture on here to show how i was left in the lurch. caravan club you have lost a long standing customer.

Perfect Location

Greeted by a lovely lady who was so pleasant and very informative. The area was central to the areas we wanted to visit, harry potter studios, windsor castle, oxford, marlow, welford park the home to the bake off tent and a few more places. There was so many places to visit. The site was easy to find and easy to access. It was spotlessly clean and the shower block was lovely and warm with plenty of showers and toilets etc. Although out pitch was near the road the sound didnt bother us at all, not even at night time. Would defo come back to this site.

Great Campsite, very convenient for visiting London

Great campsite, very welcoming, good clean facilities. Only 15 mins drive to Twydford rail station where there is plenty of parking for trains directly to Paddington. Lively riverside walks into Henley which has great character and many riverside pubs and cafes

amazing staff

Visited over a long weekend, staff were very friendly and helpful(the best we have encountered on a club site). site is near a road and on Heathrow flight path so was noisy, if you can park away from road, its better. You can walk into Henley took us about 20 mins (we are not the fittest) and on way back was dark especially as the road lights stop before the site, so be prepared. It was all clean but is a bit dated now as are a lot of the club sites.

Getting a bit dated

The location is perfect for us visiting family nearby. However the facilities are getting a bit dated, the road noise is bad (I don't know what time you have to arrive to get a pitch which isn't by the busy road) The site has the new WiFi but to be honest with a bandwidth of 1Mbs and having to log back in every hour it isn't worth bothering. Next time we'll try the site next door which looks to have better facilities and is considerably cheaper. The Caravan and Motorhome Club is at the top end of prices and for that we expect top class facilities. Unfortunately several sites recently have fall short of the mark. Maybe it's time to look elsewhere.
