We booked here as the original site we were going to would only accept a maximum of 2 dogs. We arrived with only 1 pitch option 😒due to the lateness in the day. We pitched and thought nothing of it, however the road noise is astronomical for such a small road. There is a let up through the night but not much as it restarts at about 5 am. Yes I know this is beyond the controls of the club however I feel the club could ask for the speed limit to be moved further down the road or some form of traffic calming to slow the cars down as there is no way they are doing 40 past the site. The other thing that would help with would be crossing the road as there is poor footpath maintenance along the road and on one side the footpath is non-existent. The site is generally a nice site with a nice area for exercising dogs safely off lead (until another owner just waltzes in without checking if its ok) there is one area completely enclosed with 2 gates and a very small area near the main gate for on lead relief. Whilst on about the dog area the poo bin was not emptied for about 2 days at one point and was overflowing, it was warm so I would only imagine the smell migrating to the nearby pitches. The toilets were not checked as often as when we have been on other sites. The site is dated and could do with some much-needed modernisation especially in the toilet block. I did not see a single level pitch whilst on site. I am afraid to say I would not book this site again.
