This is a nice site and we particularly liked the layout of the pitches. We read about the road noise in advance but it didn't really upset our time here. However, regarding the road, noise is the least of the problems, safety walking into town is by far a bigger issue. The 30mph zone ends at Swiss Farm campsite and the limit past this site is 40. However, both limits are ignored often excessively by a large percentage of drivers who also overtake on this stretch. In addition, the footpath is narrow due to overgrown vegetation. We were nearly hit whilst walking by a driver overtaking at speed. Overall not a pleasant walk into town !!!
