We really loved the area, and the site was very peaceful, quiet and clean. the staff were VERY friendly and are had great facilities. The walks up the hill behind the site was really picturesque.
The ONLY gripe we had which was shared by the many other members we spoke to in the washroom queues was the ridiculous and unnecessarily over the top COVID restrictions to the washrooms. To be fair this was a central dictate and not owing to the staff locally. Over 50 percent of the cubicles (toilet, showers and basins) were taped off. And only 3 rubber bands were issued for only three masked users at a time. This was extremely frustrating, leaving members queuing in the rain (or otherwise) even though users had migrated from a toilet to a shower. This annoyed everyone we spoke to, and was the real let down of our stay. People also forgot to move rubber bands from the hook to the bucket, meaning we were waiting for spaces to become available, even though there may have been only one person in the facilities. Come on CAMC this needs an urgent review !
Other private sites just insist on mask wearing and social distancing (which everyone respects), instead of punishing their customers.
