in twenty five years of caravaning this is the finest most beautiful site we have stayed on its only seven miles from Hereford but that said it is a little isolated so you have to use your transport but the countryside around is very pretty and i have never seen so many apples being grown.be prepared for the influx of children on a Friday its probably best to avoid pitches near the play area on weekends unless you have children .we will definitely be back.
Wow what a find
We stayed on this affiliated site for 2 days this week, booked at the last minute on the way home and so glad we did. Beautiful site immaculate landscape very well planned with hedges and flower beds breaking up the site and so well kept. the staff were all very friendly and helpful couldn't do enough!. We had a pitch right by the river and enjoyed the company of the ducks throughout, there are 3 toilet/shower blocks all spotless whatever time of the day you visit them. There was free wifi and the shop and café/bar are very handy. The only negative is having to keep your dog on a short lead even on the dog walk which I feel is a bit over the top however there are woods opposite and walks along both banks of the river to walk dogs freely so this wasn't really an issue. This is a site we would like to return to and stay longer on even though it was a little more expensive than others weve stayed at this holiday.
Our maiden Voyage
Well slightly apprehensive and nervous about our first time out on the road with a caravan we soon felt at ease on arrival at the lovely Lucksall Caravan Club. The staff were very friendly and helpful (as were the other guests at the site, especially our neighbours who happily gave us advice on what the heck we were meant to be doing :-)
We were on pitch 9, a grass pitch looking out onto the river...beautiful.
The toilet blocks were plentiful, clean and very well looked after and everything was easy to find on site.
The shop and restaurant were very good value and the food was lovely (also looking out onto the river)
We will definitely be back (with fishing rods next time)
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Our 3rd visit and we will return
Our third week long visit to Lucksall. It remains immaculate without having the constant noise of lawnmowers. The bus service is from the gate but the buses are quite infrequent and there was some confusion as to the return times.
A must for food is the Butcher's Arms in Woolhope, it's a bit out of the way but certainly worth a visit.
Our only negative comment is the speed which some drivers travel around the site - we saw some near misses with cars and children on scooters.
We certainly hope to return to Lucksall next year
So well kept
Great site. Mowed at least twice a week - the maintenance team take real pride in the upkeep of the site. Pristine! The reception staff are also very friendly and helpful. The team do a great job here. The site shop is well stocked and handy. Lovely location right by the Wye. A good selection of grass and hard standings. The only negative we found was that there was only one waste/recycling point, near the centre of the site. Plenty of walks through the local woods, to the nearby villages, around the countryside or in to Hereford. Try the Greenman in Fownhope for good food and beers. Ledbury is a pretty town with a nice selection of independent shops. We found Ross disappointing though. The site has a lot of pitches, but feels much more intimate. There is so much to do and see that we have booked again for next year - not something we usually do.
A site for all
A well maintained site, with a lot of plots, but cleverly laid out in sections, so it feels small. Good site shop, great cafe/bar. The river runs directly along the site, so great for fishing, swimming and there is a canoe hire centre on the site.
Long!
Never been on such a big site that felt like a small one. The way its laid out in separate sections gives you that small site feeling. Excellent location by the river, plenty of walks through the woods opposite Good on site eatery, bus stop outside (although not many busses) gives easy access into Hereford. Drawbacks? Only 1 place to leave your rubbish and the access to the motorhome service is a bit tight - although does have both sides taps and a full width drain. Would use this one again.
Fantastic
We have been to this site twice now and each time we have not disappointed. A lovely site quiet and very clean. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help
Herefordshire Hum Dinger.
What a peach of a site, Lucksall Park has it all (well almost, no serviced pitches) As soon as you pull up you can't fail but to be impressed by the manicured grounds. Situated on the banks of the Wye River and surrounded by the glorious Herefordshire countryside it's as close to picture perfect as you'll get. There's plenty to do on site, from a stroll around the grounds to refreshment in the licensed café. All staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
wonderful site
Have just returned from this site as part of an owners rally. The site is in a wonderful location right on the banks of the river and within easy reach of Hereford or Ross on Wye and for those travelling in a motor home or if you don't want to drive there's a convenient bus stop right outside the site entrance. The site is kept immaculate buy an army of staff who obviously take a pride in its appearance and the toilet facilities were always spotlessly clean.
Theres a really good dog walk around the edge of the site with plenty of doggy bins.
The onsite riverside licensed cafe serves every thing from breakfast through to dinner.
This was not my first visit to Lucksall and definatly not my last. Thank you
