fab 2 night stay

Wouldn't normally come up north as a bit miserable with midges. But armed with skin so soft we're so glad we came here. Lovely site, lovely area. Wardens friendly. Know their stuff. Made us feel welcome. (New to caravaning so need all the help we can get) great for kids. Everything you need a walk away in Killin. Only neg is the shower block floor in need of a jet spray. All in all big thumbs up. Will definitely return.

We will be back

A last minute decision for our Saturday night stop over. Rain all the way to Killin then it dried with a bit of sun, a lovely site with good pitch spacing and nice clean facilities. A short walk to the village and another short walk to Loch Tay. No dog walk on site but plenty of places to go just outside. Killin has shops for the essentials and more with a choice of places to eat out and drink out. We had a short stay but will certainly return. P.S. There were no Midges. Just ducks.

Review

Site set in beautiful location. On a handy bus route too to various villages. very clean and grounds highly maintained. Good spacing between caravans/motorhomes.Very helpful wardens. No complaints at all. The thing I would really have appreciated, being a dog walker, would have been some simply drawn maps of suitable routes. As usual by the time I had discovered them all it was time to go home. The warden was helpful in this area and did suggest one or two but there are many more. Sorry not a gripe its just this would have made it a wonderful site. Good Church of Scotland nearby for anyone wishing to keep up their Sunday worship, made very welcome. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Killin caravan club site

Lovely site set in beautiful surroundings. Ideal for walks with Loch Tay only about 15 min walk from the site. Killin itself is a lovely village with good facilities and only a 10 min walk from the site.

2 nights in July

We stayed here for 2 nights during our tour of Scotland and found this site a little gem. A lovely open site next to the river with great pitch sizes and a well organised site. The facilities were clean and tidy too. Lovely walk into the village centre and also to the falls and a lovely pub lunch in the pub next to the falls. There are a couple of pubs close by that do food etc if you want a night off cooking or just want a drink. We took a lovely walk up to the edge of Loch Tay were the views are amazing and there is lots of birdlife around too. Altogether a lovely site in a lovely location ( slightly tainted by the late arrival of a family on our last evening who let their 3 kids wake most of the site up on theirs skateboards and kicking football, racing and shouting at each other etc at 7.15am the following morning. Letting their kids round around pitches, numerously tripping over electric cables etc. Maybe non-members should be reminded, on their arrival, of site etiquette with relation to noise and not letting kids run around pitches?? )

Excellant Site

We live in Perthshire and have visited this site many times.  The wardens are really helpful and very friendly. It was our first visit with our new caravan and we were lucky enough to get a lovely  pitch on the riverside.  We have 2 dogs and there are lots of very good walks nearby.  Can't wait to go back!

4 Nights in June

We had a great time in Killin and around Lock Tay. The site is in a good location and the facilities as per all Caravan Club Sites, the exception being the showers that need the button pressing every 30 seconds! Wife not happy with soap in her hair and eyes!. Would expect midges to get bad at times but not bad when we stayed. Internet good but drops out around 19:00 every night. In general I could recommend this site for anyone looking for a peaceful break.

Marvelous Maragowan

A spectacular site just outside a quiet village with wonderful waterfall,s excellently situated for many places of interest too.  We were treated to wonderful weather and also two stags who appeared on the river bank opposite the caravan.  Another site we would go back to next year, would very much recommend this for everyone.
