Beautiful location

Perfect picturesque location. Beautiful pots of flowers around the reception and entrance area. Warm welcome from the warden. Warden very helpful with all my queries. Good clean facilities. We had dogs which need to be exercised off site but no shortage of places to walk. Hotel opposite site also allows well behaved dogs into the bar. Killin is a quaint little village which is only a short walk away. This site is definitely worth a visit in a beautiful setting where you will receive a warm welcome.

Another great few days at Killin

A short notice decision to try out our new van at one of our favourite sites, and once again the site was spotless and the wardens were very friendly. We love the Killin area and will continue to return to the site in the future. Keep up the good work.

Lovely Mountain and River Based Site

If you are looking for a caravan site within walking distance of a attractive village, with pubs and eateries and you like mountain views and the sound of water falls, then this is the site for you.  We were pitched next to the river which for us was fantastic, however for families with younger children then you would have to be extra careful. There are many walks, some accessible direct from the site, whilst others are just a short drive away. The wardens are very knowledgable with regards to the length and difficulty of the walks and will recommend a walk to sit your abilities/needs.

We are so lucky...

Arriving at Killin for yet another brief stopover (we visit this site at least once or twice a year) it struck us just how lucky we are as CC members. The site was immaculate and the greeting so warm and generous that even on a cloudy day it felt as though the sun was out. The Staff at Killin are the very best the Caravan Club could offer - thank you

Brilliant !

My husband and I have just returned from our 2nd trip to Killin this year and we can always say it was great. Ann and Brett are always lovely and helpful and we wish a big good luck to Laura and Norrie in the 10km run, the floral display on the site is great and we are always fortunate to have great weather. We recommend the Coach House across from the site as I always have a really good chicken curry ,keep up the good work as the wardens are a credit to the site.

First site with our new caravan

We have a young family & were fed up of the inflated prices of the British holidays available so decided to get a touring caravan & give it a shot. Both our families had tourers when we were kids & we loved it so we thought 'why not!' After getting our van & kitting her out we decided to go to a site that was far enough away to make it an adventure but close enough for that 'oops, we forgot that' thing that may crop up. As we live near Stirling we thought that Killin would fit the bill & so we booked 5 nights at Maragown.  Well what can I say other than 'Wow!!' What a jack pot we hit here. Brilliantly friendly staff, very well kept site & all the facilities were first class.  We got a pitch right between the play park (which is very small & very limited) and the river which is free fishing. This proved an ideal pitch as I fished, our son played in the play park whilst mum read her book whilst sipping a glass of wine with one eye on both of us!! Killin is a lovely little village. There's a co-op with all you will ever need and a few other shops that may be of interest for a wander one morning. There's loads of forest walks around and about which we explored to great delight.  All in all we would recommend this site for both the quiet retreat and the great location for exploring nature wether on land or on the rivers & lochs.

Fantastic Site

Stayed at this great site for a long weekend and we were delighted with everything, from the very warm welcome from the wardens to the peace and quiet. We will certainly be back in the very near future.

Relaxing and Peaceful place to stay!

The site is situated in a little hollow with beautiful mountains around it with a river flowing slowly along the side of the site. As you step foot on the site the first thoughts that come to mind is the relaxing atmosphere and feel that the site has. The welcome given to us by the wardens was very positive and friendly, this adding to the ambiance of the site itself. I couldn't fault the facilities on the site. Everything was clean and my wife, being in a manual wheelchair, everything was accessible to her. I couldn't fault this site and will defiantly go there again in the near future!

Another Great Stay

Stayed for another week at this well run site, it's one of those places that if your visiting for the first time or returning you will always be sure of a warm welcome and a fantastic stay, you just can't fault the site it is immaculate, spotlessly clean toilets etc, Killin and the surrounding areas must be one of Scotland nicest areas to visit, nice peaceful stay, lots to do and see. We will be visiting again soon.
