Wardens are amazing

We were greeted by the relief wardens when we arrived on Saturday 19 March 2016 who were helpful and professional in resolving an administration error we were responsible for before we left the following Monday the regular wardens were back in charge and were extremely helpful and friendly and went out of there way to provide support to resolve an issue we had with the electric supply and also provide a detailed hand drawn map to our next destination of Bude, the map was not only detailed but very accurate Thank you for your kindness and support Suzanne & Ricky

Warm winter welcome!

Our 3rd short visit to this very handy site and although the weather was cold ( but dry and sunny!!) we received a lovely warm welcome from the super wardens Eileen and Peter. They are both so helpful- thank you! They also feed the birds (and squirrels) so although almost in town there is a lot of wildlife about- we even saw three deer about 25m from our camper! Facilities are of the usual high standard and the pitches flat and neatly arranged in small areas. It's an easy stroll down into the town and also to the sea front! There's a Co-op shop within even shorter distance and also a handy van that visits selling the basics - newspapers, milk and bread! All together a super little site! No doubt we'll be back!

An attractive and convenient site

We have just enjoyed our second visit to this pleasant small site, which has easy access to Minehead itself and surrounding areas of interest.  It was easy to pitch in a nice sheltered spot and we found the toilet block to be warm and well maintained.  Will definitely be back in the future.

Warm & Friendly Wardens

Welcomed on arrival from lovely wardens very helpful. Lovely clean site but a bit cramped for us, didn't realize it would be so busy when we went, nearly every bay taken. Bit tight putting our awning up and parking car next to it, but we managed. Same as others make sure you walk up to see a spot you like very difficult to reverse or turn. Toilet facilities always spotless, given a key to use, don't forget it like I did :) Great location so close to town 10 min walk. Despite being a bit cramped and power cuts one night we really enjoyed our stay, but don't think we'd come again. Thank you very much though.

Lovely site for Minehead and the moors

This was our fourth visit and as always, loved it.  We did experience a couple of power cuts during our stay, but only in one section of the site. One for twenty minutes and the next day it was from tea time right through to the next morning which was the earliest the electrician could attended to replace a very large fuse that a blown. It is thought that this was due to the -5 weather conditions and caravaners using domestic fan heaters as well as their caravan heaters.  All in all far too much for the sites electric power supply.  A big 'THANK YOU' must go out to the wardens who ventured out in the extreme cold for at least two hours to everyone ensuring that somehow power was supplied via other routes or we had enough gas to keep us warm until the morning.  This has certainly not put us off and we will definitely be going back.

Minehead in February

Just returned from a week`s stay at this site. First time we`ve been. Many of the pitches are not the same size as you`ll find on many other Club sites. There`s room for your caravan and awning but then you have to park your car in front of both; can be a tight squeeze for those with large towcars. The site actually faces north ish so you`ll not see much of the sun for a lot of the day. In spring and summer the many trees will give shade, if ever it`s needed. You cannot take your outfit around the site to find your pitch; the roads are too narrow; so you`ll have to walk from the warden`s office.....have some wet weather gear ready if you arrive in inclement weather. On the plus side the one central block which houses everything is handy from most pitches; the facilities are spotless and the wardens friendly. You`ll receive a key for the toilet/shower block on arrival. Don`t be tempted to leave the latch off when you enter. The site is adjacent to part of the town and, therefore, its public who could, possibly, use the facilities for `free`....not recommended really. The site is just a ten minute walk from the town. Minehead has all the shops you could want and more and is handily placed as a base from which to tour this superb county.

Minehead - Inaugural Trip with New Van

Quaint little site on a lot of levels.  All areas dead ends so walk and choose your pitch before driving!  On arrival were offered a choice of non awning pitches but were pointed in the direction of Pitch 3.  One of the best in the site, level and easilyaccessible, just right for out first trip in this particular van.   Cannot really rate for families as do not know what they need we have always travelled solo.   It would be nice if there was a facility to put either not applicable or not used rather than having to put something in each area.

Relaxing

On arrival the managers of the site were very friendly and helpful. They had a very busy weekend as it was very wet. Lovely little site, easy walking into town, also a nice 2 mile walk to Dunster. Usual excellant shower block on site. We will be back definetely.

Great site

Just returned from three nights, Wardens where extremely friendly and welcoming. The site is quiet and conveniently located for walking into town and access to the South West coast path. On arrival we were greeted by deer grazing along the site boundary. Would definitely consider visiting again.

Our first outing

We are thinking of buying a motorhome this year and joined the club to get info.  We took a hired motorhome to the site as our first ever outing.  The site staff were welcoming, warm and very helpful for us novices.  The site is quiet, conveniently located for walking into town.  The facilities were spotless and shower block warm.  A great first experience.
