May Half Term Stay

Me and my family and our dog visited this site for a week. On arrival at the site we found the wardens to be friendly and helpful. We found the pitches to be of a good size and pleasantly set out in clusters around the site. Toilet facilities were always very clean and never to far from any pitch. There is a good enclosed dog walking area and plenty of dog waste bins. The kids loved the play area and the crazy golf. There is a pizza oven on site on Tue/Fri but gets very busy. With a short walk into the village you will find plenty of shops, tea rooms and pubs. Would recommend taking an aerial cable as TV reception is very poor. We would recommend this site to friends and family and will be staying here again.

Great site brilliant location

This is a great site in a fantastic location ! The site facilities are immaculate as you would expect from the Caravan Club, friendly wardens and very well kept grounds. There is a pizza van on a Friday and I must admit they cook some of the best pizzas I've ever had ! The town is a short walk from the site as has numerous pubs, shops (mainly charity) and restaurants ! The only downside is the TV reception is non existent so you will need an extension coaxial to plug into the point on the ehu (buy beforehand as the they're on sale on site at £25 !!!!! (£4.99 from Argos ) there is a large children's play area too all in all it's a great place we will return

Perfect. May 2015

Last stop before going home and despite the bad weather which seemed to follow us from Scotland we enjoyed our stay here. The site is quite large but you never feel that due its layout and natural barriers of trees and hedges. Two sections to choose from but nothing between them. Good modern facilities. Wardens great and friendly. Good dog walk on site and lots of walks from the site and the town which is a 5-10minute walk away. Town is good with a couple of hotels, butchers, shops, Tesco Extra, Coop and a great Budgens. There are a number of tea/coffee rooms and eating establishments and most are... DOG FRIENDLY! YEY! Well done Moreton. (Grantown take note!). Cant find any fault with this site and I will be back!!

Marvellous Moreton

We stayed for 5 nights with our two children. The site was easy to find and pleasent check in. Being a bank holiday weekend there were not alot of pitches left but we were lucky to find a good one, near to TB and not under trees. The facilities were good and clean/ well maintained, except in some cases where guests had left them dirty! Good location for town and visiting cotswold towns, excellent view over countryside when on way to Broadway. The children loved the park and we had several games of Boules whilst "supervising" them. Pizza was OK and gave a break from cooking. The pitches were quite tight and had to park in front of caravan and roadways are also quite narrow, with some tight turns when initially searching for a pitch. Some road noise but not annoying. Good Tuesday market in Moreton, worth a visit. With the site being full it could feel a little crowded and queues for showers in the morning.

Location Location Location

Proximity to Moreton ( 5 min walk to splendid tea shops, pubs and shops) and other Cotswold attractions and villages is the star feature for this site. That said, the site is very well run by thoughtful and friendly wardens. Some nice touches....... Excellent info office, good shop, first class toilet block, good play area........ Would definitely recommend. We vsited Bourton on Water, Bleinham Palace (Churchill story), Stafford on Avon (Ghost walk) Batsford plus enjoyed local walks. All good days out for the family. On site mobile pizza oven was a plus for the boys - a change from the usual fish chips also available. Only negative would be that the site feels a little compact when full but good size grass area for each pitch enabled with end of van parking. Will be back for some more of this very English holiday.....such fun !!

Constant drone

Last year I wrote a review about this site complining that the wifi was useless. This year I'm pleased to say the wifi is very reliable and never go's down. This is a lovely site and the only thing spoiling the stay this year is the constant drone of the wardens on their tractors. Is this a case of boys and their toys? I've just watched the warden mow a section of grass no more overgrown than the grass next to our pitch and I found myself asking did he really need to mow that patch? With a caravan next to the section he mowed one couldn't even argue he was doing it because the pitch was empty. Come on wardens give us some peace please we don't want to hear the constant drone of your tractors all day.

Broadway bus confusion

I felt this story might be amusing and of interest. Whilst on a recent stay we decided to visit Broadway by bus. We caught the bus at the stop opposite the site entrance, no problems. Alighted at Broadway and had a delightful 3 hours, checking the time of the return bus we dutifully waited by a bus stop on the opposite side of the road. To my astonishment the bus to Moreton came in the same direction as the one we had got off, very confusing but on asking at the tourist information (another 3 hours to wait for the next bus) the lady confirmed that this is how they run. It is a shame that in the bus timetable there is no mention of this, nor did the bus driver share this nugget of information. Beware bus travellers. Great site at Moreton, one of the best.

Fantastic Site

This is a great site, location puts you in a short distance to lots of things to do and see. 5mins walking distance to Moreton In Marsh for those afternoon teas, many places to eat and drink. The site itself has a nice informal layout, shower and toilet blocks are the best we have seen so far. Reception and shop have very friendly and helpful staff. Highly rated.

Fab location

Great site, easy access from major road network. Very friendly wardens always smiling, spotless facilities through out the day. Great play area for both kids and dogs. Lots of pitches only fault is pitch size having to park your car in front of the caravan window. Will definitely revisit.

VERY IMPRESSED

We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at this lovely site. It was easy to find and access, and even though it was May Day weekend we had a good choice of pitches. Although rather small in size we were very happy with our pitch and were very impressed by the natural surroundings and wildlife close by. The location was excellent for visiting the North Cotswolds, and the closeness of Moreton-in-Marsh made it easy to get whatever we needed. We would certainly be happy to recommend thissite.
