Only stopped here to break up a journey. Female Warden was very friendly and booking in was smooth and hassle free. Given a map with vacant pitches but by the time we got to them they had been taken so we ended up on a pitch next to the road which was obviously noisy. We had extended our Premium WiFi package after a great service at Cherry Hinton at Cambridge but I'm afraid to say it proved as poor here as it was at Sandringham, either constantly buffering or not loading at all., perhaps a few more WiFi repeaters would be in order. Great location

Moreton-in-Marsh Club Campsite
All you would expect from a club site. Great dog walking area and walks from site. Great location to walk in to town. Only downside is road noise but that's to be expected so close to town.

Disappointing

Moreton-in-Marsh Club Campsite
My wife and I arrived at 12.30 to an empty entrance consisting of 2 reception lanes of about 60 meters each. At approximately 12.35 a warden came to tell us that they didn’t allow members access until 1.00pm. and we had to leave even though I had paid the previous day with all relevant information. Upon asking where we could go he told us to find a parking lot or lay by. That is nearly impossible in Morten in the Marsh at the best of times but Tuesday is a market day and the town was rammed. We returned after 1.00pm. to find 1 motor home in front of us, a lady warden instructed me as to where to stop my motor home, my reaction was to applaud her with a Basil Faulty gesture, What followed was incredible. So upset was she by my seated Faulty gesture that she appeared with a mail warden brandishing a phone camera directly in my face hoping for an encore. I was then told the manager had been sent for to deal with me.He explained in detail that if they allowed members to queue they could back up to the road and cause accidents. If this is a problem I fail to see why allowing all arrivals after 1.00pm cures a problem they are creating. There were a great number of empty pitches so surely members who have already paid and registered their details could be allowed access to what is their club. My wife is in her 7Os and I am 81 and this fiasco was incredible.

It is all about location

Moreton-in-Marsh Club Campsite
We have stayed at Moreton-in-Marsh a few times and, notwithstanding some drawbacks, we keep coming back for the advantages of its location. A 10 minutes walk on a public footpath across fields from the northern edge of the site and you are in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh with its good selection of shops and eating places. As far as the latter is concerned, we eat this time at Bellini, an Italian restaurant which I would recommend. Instead of walking across the fields to the town, you can walk in the other direction on the public footpath as far as you want without having to negotiate roads and most of the fields do not have farm animals in them so great for dog walking. The site is a bit crowded but not too much in my opinion to put you off staying. Some reviews have referred to noise from the main road which goes past the site. We have always stayed on the north side of the site to be near the dog walk and the public footpath referred to above and you can certainly hear the traffic on that side of the site but I would not say that it was very intrusive and it does not put us off the site. However, I can understand that the impact of the traffic could be considered to be intrusive at pitches nearest to the road. Some people have said that the toilet blocks are a bit dated. Maybe but they are well maintained and the shower cubicles are a lot more spacious than in the club’s modern blocks.

Perfect

Moreton-in-Marsh Club Campsite
We stayed 3 nights with our 4 grandchildren who throughly enjoyed themselves. The site is in a perfect location and the staff are so friendly and made us all very welcome especially the ladies in the office, the facilities are very clean and we will definitely be returning
