Excellent site

Our first visit here and to the Cotswolds. Met by friendly wardens. Site very clean and plenty of room. Pizzas cooked on site Friday we didn't have one but definately would next time. Moreton very quaint. Dogs allowed in pub near site in the bar. Bourton on the water well worth a visit lots to see and do. Definately be back

Moreton in Marsh review

We really enjoy the Cotswolds  and this is our 8th visit to Moreton in Marsh and it will not be our last visit. As usual the wardens were very wellcoming and did a good job even though they told us they were new to this site

first of the year

2015 off to a good start with our usual trip to Moreton, as always immaculate site and facilities. What we did like was the fact that the toilet block on our section was'nt closed for cleaning 'til 14.00  makes a lot of sense because most people are out and about by then.     We had reasonable weather, very little rain but some very cold nights.     For me one of the added good points is  the beautiful bell ringing on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, literally music to my ears!      Now looking forward to our next outing to Chapel Lane, next month. 2xoap

First trip of the year

great first outing of the year weather not to bad, good site close to the town, usual excellent facilities and lovely staff. Very surprised how busy it was for mid March, so many nearby attractions will definitely be back

Another great stay

Just returned from another great visit once again to this superb site. The facilities are as ever first class and the wardens are very informative and helpful.Although they are all fairly newly installed they are very quite exceptional. As usual the local Tuesday market in Moreton is well worth a visit. The Swan pub serves good food ,good beer and allows dogs into the Bar area.Their Tuesday market lunchtime menu is very popular indeed and good value for money 3 courses for £9.95. Hence the restaurant is very busy during the lunchtime period. Also don,t forget to claim your 10% discount offered to caravan club members. This site is very popular with it,s large dog walking area and a great play area for children. Therefore I would recommend that early booking is made. This is a great centre for visiting the area and it even has a bus stop located outside for bus,s going to Stratford and with the railway station at the other end of town you can even get a train into Oxford,so you don,t even have to drive.

Brilliant site

Moreton is a great site. Situated in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. Love the sound of the local wild life and the sound of the local farmers crow warning shots, IT iS THE COUNTRYSIDE!!!. The wardens were brilliant and helpful. This is my sixth visits and will be back.

OUR FIRST VISIT

This was our first visit to this club sight and it was one of the best sights we have stayed at.We arrived just after the warden change over and can only say that the new wardens were the most helpfull we have met yet (did not meet the last wardens)even though they were just setting up themselves.A tight site very well kept and must be hard to keep tidy verges due to this. WILL BE BACK

Recent visit not up to standard

Our first trip to Moreton after the winter break was much anticipated. The weather was cold but dry and we enjoyed our trips out on the buses and trains. However, throughout our stay my wife had constant problems with the West Side Toilet Block heating levels. Despite efforts from the wardens, and even a plumber attending on the Monday, the female block remained stubbornly cold. Even the laundry room and dishwashing areas were without heat. The other annoyance, outwith control of the Club, was the local farmer's 2 bird scarers going off intermittently and loudly from 06.30 in the morning. This somewhat spoilt the stay and is not what I expect of a five star site.

Usual expectations

Good approach, great welcome from the Wardens... As expected and never disappointed ... All usual facilities great location sadley we work on a Saturday and miss out exploring on that day Altho we did arrive at 12noon on Friday and soon pitched had lunch and took the short walk into Moreton in Marsh.. Nice high street wife found a dress in one of the small shops... Tracked down a India resturant for our SATURDAY evening out... All Good! The Pitches are small and some haven't got the best turning room this probabaly explains why some of the grass is cut up... Water quality ? disposal areas and rubbish bins ? toilets and showers ? O2 telephone signal ? tv signal unreliable ?? the road outside the site is well used but it doesn't disturb you.... As ever the usual Speed on Site members still seem to forget themselves ... All in all ?????
