No.of pitches

The only thing stopping a clean sweep of ratings is that where some pitches at an internal right angle to each other, I think there is one pitch too many resulting in overcrowding at that point. In my view. I cannot fault everything else and it is for me a near perfect site.

Great site

This is a superb site within a few miles of Christchurch and hence Bournemouth. Considering the number of pitches, one might assume there will be rows and rows of pitches, but this is not the case. Credit to the Club for the way the site is designed. We felt we were on a site of a few vans. My only comment, why do the directions to the site, even from the west insist on going east to Cadnum to then double back? We travelled from Exeter, and approached the site from Christchurch without problem, but outside of the Rush Hour. Hitting that, then the Cadnum option might be better. It was 15 miles shorter than following the handbook directions. Yes we are familiar with the area, our only slight problem was negotiating parked delivery lorries.

Excellent Site

We spent two weeks at this excellent site. Location, perfect for exploring the New Forest and the coast. Would definitely return and would recommend to friends.

Quiet Site

This is a superb site and everything is of the highest quality that we have come to expect from a Caravan Club Site. All the Wardens were brilliant and most helpful. We try to be green when we are away with our Motorhome but the isolated location of this site made it difficult to be so. There are no buses and the walk to Bransgore by the route recommended by the Caravan Club entails walking along the highway. We did find an alternative route back to the site and part of this past through the forest. Plenty of Bird Life to see on the site and the Fish & Chips were wonderful.

Great site.

We spent a week on this site.It is in a great location with lots of places nearby to visit. All toilet facilities were immaculate. The site also has a very pretty, well kept garden. We were not bothered by any noise and found the site very peaceful. Also,we were on our holidays so the apparent issues with wifi did not affect us.

A well kept site in an excellent location

A great site having just spent two weeks there. Very well located for getting the best out of the New Forest. Enjoyed the cycling and the great variety of off road opportunities. Also made use of the three bus routes from the site in seeing the best features the NF has to offer. Only problem poor WFi signal. Very intermittent and not up to the job of coping with a large site. Had very little benefit from my £10 voucher.

Another Decent CC Site!

We stayed here for 2 nights for a short weekend break. Having only ever stayed at one other CC site (Black Knowl) we weren't really sure what to expect - certainly Black Knowl sets a high standard, but we weren't sure if this was a one off or it is the same for all CC sites. Well, we weren’t disappointed! Black Knowl is pure tranquillity; total peace and quiet – impossible to beat I think. However, the New Forest Centenary Site, whilst isn’t quite as tranquil (we could hear cattle grid hums and as there are roads pretty much running around the entire boundary of the site, you do hear the related noise, but being in the forest they aren’t busy roads). The site, however is better equipped, more modern and has a less “isolated” feel to it than Black Knowl. Facilities are excellent (good sized shop which stocks local Bransgore Butchers products as well as lots of other essentials and non-essentials), pitches are generally immaculate and service points are very clean and well-kept too. My only complaint is that next to our electric hook up post there was some dog poo – I informed reception when I went back to tell them which pitch we had chosen and they were rather annoyed at the fact a fellow member had left the pitch like this. He said he would “try” to clean it up on his way past next time, but it was still there when we left. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us as it was right next to the post and out of our sight, but still, an unpleasant thing to have around. Oh and our particular electric post had a faulty light bulb which was flashing on and off all the time at night.

centenary site

We have been trying to get to this site for the last 2 years but it was worth the wait. The wardens really do work as a team and work very hard to maintain the site, a credit to them all. on our second day there a couple had parked in the overnight stop area and the lady had a serious problem that required hospitalization. the wardens pulled out the stops for the Husband and nothing was too much for them to help him, mobiles don't seem to work in this area! Sadly she later died. our sympathy to the family. This did not affect our holiday and stay on site, for those that know him, Dodger really enjoyed his stay and thanks all those new friends that came to say hello to him, at 15 years of age he is getting on but still enjoys the great caravan club sites and the members and wardens who like dogs! this site has the best two dog walks in the south. A great site with excellent wardens, first class facilities, all they need are speed guns to be able report site users for speeding, you the owner of the Hymer caravan doing at least 30MPH know why there is a 5MPH speed limit! The Caravan club can be very proud of this site. We will be returning there!

Great site

Stayed here for a four day break and loved it so much have already booked for a week. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are exceptional and there are more than enough for the size the site despite being full I never saw more than one person in the toilet block! I have a dog and the dog walking area is of a good size and there is a smaller one also, but there is also a big forest on the doorstep! Thoroughly recommend
