Visited 23 - 28th May 2021. Oh my days the views. .... and you don't need to be on the front row as the site is on a slope, levellers needed on most pitches. The site is very close to the cliff edge with just the coastal path between. There is walking/ cycling in either direction along the path either south into Whitley Bay or beyond, or north to Blyth. The beach is accessible down steps ...or walk along the coastal path which becomes the promenade in Whitley Bay. The village of Seaton Sluice with a Convenience store, a chemist and a famous chippy is a stones throw. St Marys Island with lighthouse (and seals) can be accessed easily at low tide. We were lucky with the tide times and it was our evening wander every day of our stay. But to go to sleep, with the noise of the waves crashing on the rocks and being rocked ( gently hopefully) by the sea breeze is the medicine we needed. Fabulous friendly wardens, exceptionally well maintained, spotlessly clean site.
