Lovely site spoiled by noisy children at all hours

This was a lovely site and like so many others have said, the facilities are great and the wardens are really helpful and friendly. We were there for a week between 2nd and 9th August and it was really busy throughout that period with families; not surprising really given the proximity to the country park and the superb beach. What spoiled it for us though was the fact that there were children racing around the site on bikes, giving no heed to speed limits nor the one way system.  On more than one occasion I saw that only the fast reactions of one of two children avoided nasty head on collisions and my own 8 year old son ended up being forced off the road as older kids were blocking the entire width of the roadway. On top of that, the kids seemed not to have received (or were ignoring) guidance from their parents about acceptable noise levels in the late evening. On most nights there was still running around and screaming by large groups of children up to and sometimes beyond 10pm.  Our kids felt very agrieved when we were telling them to stop making noise within our van, as they recognised that their noise was nowhere near as bad as those kids outside, many of whom were much younger than them.  I don't want to be a spoilsport, but it was my holiday too and by the late evening I want some peace and quiet. That all said, I would happily give this site another go at some time in the future as our two children really enjoyed it and, with more than a mere hint of irony, they liked the fact that there were so many children on the site.  That is only natural as the site we are on this week has, shall we say, a substantially higher average age group.

Take me back!

5th year we've been to this site and we'll be booking to go next year too. Great for everyone whether you're a couple of a family or even on your own. We went on the grass pitch this year which we found so much better for our 2 year old as there's loads of room for her to play. Country park is fab and the beach is just a 10 minute walk. We take our bikes and rarely used the car unless we wanted to go to. Supermarket. The play area could do with a refurb as it's now looking a bit tired and it's more for bigger kids. This site is my favourite site ever and I never want to come home after staying here. Lots of nice places to eat around the area too. So safe for kids and they all seem to play together which is lovely to see. Wardens were lovely and can't do enough for you. It's just an all around lovely site to be. Take me back there please!

Pembrey Sands

Stayed here in July, 2015.  Can't fault it. Suitable for all age groups. Spotless facilities, excellently maintained and the pitch was brilliant. The location is superb. A baker van calls with local bread, cakes and pastries.  We had vanilla slices and a fruit cake (highly recommended) as is the site.

Excellent site

Been there twice this year, had excellent time. Site and facilities spotlessly clean as you can expect. Plenty for the kids to do and good for dog walks. Beach close by which also accommodates dogs (nice). Looking forward to going again this year if possible

Wonderful Site!

We came here and expected as reviewed, overrun by kids! They were there but very well behaved and did not disturb us one bit! The site is marvellous maintained, full marks to the staff. The National Park was as in the brochure really beautiful! We took a trip to Tenby on the train from Burry Port wow! Several times to Burry Port along the sea coast (no car) Tesco and Neptune Pub perfect. Back next year!!

Lovely Friendly Pembury

This is a lovely Caravan Club site with friendly hardworking Wardens. The toilet blocks are as usual for a Club site Exceptionally Clean. The site is also quiet and child friendly The Milkman tours the site every morning just after 9.00, followed by a Baker with Fresh bread and cakes. The Beach is about a mile walk away and has a large area where you can take your dog on. There are plenty of paths through the park to walk on or if you have a bike a lot of local bike rides . There is a local Newsagent about a mile and a half away and a Co.op about 3 miles away, We had 12 lovely nights on this site despite some changable weather including a soggy Sunday. We would recommend this site to anyone and wish it was nearer our home in Norfolk.

No good for elderly or infirm dog-owners wanting to go on the beach

The site was very quiet (I live in the back of beyond so know what quiet is) - wonderful for children as it is very safe with plenty for them to do, I went with my extended family and my dog. I am ancient but fit - so I walked the mile plus to the beach - the level entrance is not for dog-owners they are re-directed quite a way further on - then confronted with several steps up a bank - loads more steps down the other side - across soft sand, then an extremely steep bank disappearing over the dunes (and according to Tripadvisor very steep down the other side). The main reason I had gone to Pembrey was to walk the beach. I could not even see the beach! The Wardens were pleasant but did not tell me the milkman and the baker circled the site (there is no shop) If you want a newspaper it is "just ten minutes drive" - in a motorhome - I think not. I would not go again as level access to the beach is not available and, like many other people, the dog is my companion. I would feel like a spare part walking across the park to the beach on my own. The kiddies in the party had a great time and cannot wait to go again.

Tredegar

Pleasant site with very pleasant and helpful wardens. Some road traffic noise from adjacent main road. Pity the shop does not sell newspapers.

Excellent site with so much to do.

We stayed in July for six days and it was no where near long enough to do everything here. Very clean as you would expect. Great staff especially as we had a flat tyre when we were due to leave - everyone was a great help. Good wifi considering where you are. Went horse riding next door to site for £25 ph. Segways are an absolute must but book early as we left it late and couldn't fit us all in together. Beach is one of the best in the country. Cycling a pleasure. We went in to the local village which has a butchers, fish and chips and bakers. Indian take away from up the road was very good. Didn't do skiing as it looked very steep and hard if you fell!!  Would thoroughly recommend this site for every age - amazing walks, amazing cycling, amazing activities, amazing beach. Perfect.
