I am all for the 1pm rule being enforced and for no outfit to be allowed on site earlier then those abiding by this, but to have your wife reduced to tears is wrong. No one should be made to feel like that, no matter what the circumstances. There are ways of speaking and putting your point across without making someone feel like that 🤷♀️

If you know you are going to be early why not park up on a lay-by until 1.00 pm. We were there a few weeks ago and there are numerous large lay-bys between Brittania Bridge or Menai Bridge and Bryteg. It seems that they want to blame everyone apart from themselves. If they had turned up at the correct time there would not have been a problem.

I completely agree with the other replies, if you know you're going to be early, take a break and arrive at the correct time, the rule is there to allow members to leave safely and for the staff to get ready for new arrivals, if everybody ignores the rules it will be chaos. I do agree though that to return to find someone else has arrived early and has already checked in might be quite upsetting, waiting for a 10 minute infringement could possibly be allowed before checking in at 13.00 perhaps, but nobody should be reduced to tears, and obeying the rules would have prevented any upset. That applies to the visitors and the staff alike. If other outfits arrive and are queuing on the short single track access road to site and the local houses, it would be gridlocked with serious health and safety issues in an emergency.
