Great place to stay

We stayed on this site end July 2015 very beautiful site excellent staff always helpful cheerful and very efficient spotless facilities there is a bus service outside the campsite but they run every hour and a half we could not use bicycles as roads a little narrow and quite a bit of traffic we deffo will stay at this site again very sad to leave

July holiday 2015 1 week

The site is well kept, wardens very hardworking and cheerful. Facility/shower block is excellent and I imagine would be warm in cold weather. Play area and paddle pool for children. Lanes quite narrow, as Devon lanes are. Only adverse comment is that WiFi connection is not strong, sometimes it would not connect at all. I don't know if that was the position of our caravan. Very good position to get to a lot of Torbay areas etc.

Our July Holiday

We had a lovely fortnight at Ramslade despite the Devon drizzle. We were particularly impressed by the cheerfulness of the hardworking and helpful wardens and deputies.

Well kept site, ideal for visiting

This is one of the best kept sites there is. The team of wardens work tirelessly to achieve this. It is also respectfully quiet and has first class facilities which is what you come to expect from a club site. There seemed to be a lot of major roadworks in area which should all be finished by end of 2015. As mentioned before the long and winding  approach road is narrrow and single file in certain places but we used it every day without incident. Overall a great base and great site. Recommend.

Lovely Clean Site

Just returned from this site.it is a well kept clean site in a lovely location.Helpful and friendly wardens make a big difference to a site too.Our two Springers loved the enclosed dog walk although there are still members who dont pick up after thier dogs. The grandchildren gave the play area and field 10 out of 10.There is so much do and see in the area it looks like we will be back. The only drawback is the narrow approach road. The Club does its best by putting the earliest arrival time in place. If two units met going in opposite directions there could be a problem.Dont let this put you off this wonderful site.

July 2015

Not much more to say about the site as other reviews have said it all perfectly, a spotless site, with excellent wardens and facilties. The only thing I would mention would be that the trees inbetween the service pitches at the very top of the site make it very tight getting on and off the pitch.  Other than that it's one of the nicest, cleanest sites I've ever been on  Thank you

Caution On Final Approach Road

Just spent 6 enjoyable nights at this site it is well run and well looked after by the wardens. Beware of the final approach road, though there are passing places BUT if you meet another bus/ lorry as we have seen coming the other way it's very tricky, when we were going out for a drive once we saw two caravan stuck they were touching forcing a fellow caravaner to unhitched his unit which was approaching the site then we had to separate them (scary)

Very peaceful site

We recently spent time on this site, which is well situated for visiting South Devon. Lots to see and do in the area, for retirees and families. The site is very well cared for by the cheery wardens who are always seen to be busy; keeping the facilities spotless, caring for the grass areas around the site. We discovered on our last day, quite by chance, that phone coverage is available on the upper part of the site (we had a pitch in the lower field)  It says on the site information that there is no coverage for most networks, so we never thought to ask at the site office. The major problem with this site is access, which is along a mainly narrow road with passing places, for 1 and a half miles. Be warned that locals can, on occasion, be speeding along with no concern for other road users. Other than this, it is an excellent site for a base from which to visit this lovely area.
