Perfect site for us

We spent 5 nights here, it being our first stay on a Club site, we weren't sure what to expect. It was brilliant, the staff were friendly, the site was perfectally clean and tidy and the whole atmosphere was excellent. The bus into Paignton ran every 1.5 hours but was the most sociable public transport I have ever been on, the driver knew all the locals by name. A lovely peaceful site to visit at the earliest convenience.

First Class

This was our first visit to this site.  A very friendly greeting on our arrival, and as we discovered during our stay all the wardens friendly and very helpful. The site is immaculate, and the shower block like brand new, but hardly a surprise as for the 3 days we were there the wardens are working non stop, cleaning, cutting grass, emptying bins.   The staff are a credit to the club.  Ideal location for nearby attractions, and also a pleasant walk or cycle into Stoke Gabriel.

Ramslade go go

Excellent, a good welcome from the friendly staff. The facilities are well maintained and spotless. Some good attractions in the surrounding area with transport links. A local bus that stops directly outside the gate. Staff were very nice and helpful. Thanks for helping us have a nice holiday

One of my Favourite sites

Ramslade has to be one of my favourite caravan club sites, the location is superb for experiencing all the sites, sounds, scenes and sands this beautiful part of the country offers. On the doorstep of Paignton Zoo and Goodrington Sands (Arguably the best beach in Devon). Paignton itself is nearby as is Torquay, Totnes and Brixham not to mention the stunningly beautiful Dartmoor National Park with lovely places like Becky Falls and Dartmeet. Babbacombe Model Village should not be missed and if shopping is your scene don't miss a trip to the fabulous Trago Mills. The site itself cannot be faulted in my view, you come to expect a certain standard from caravan club sites and to be honest Ramslade easily matches that of the other sites we've been to. Cleanliness of the toilet/shower blocks was superb as was the laundry and washing up area. Well proportioned pitches and a very nice lay out, the club shop had most of what would be needed in terms of essentials, and to be fair decent shops are within easy reach. Wardens were friendly, polite and welcoming, at the end of the day you can't really ask for much more.  Great Site, Great Location, can't wait to come back again!!! Highly recommend this site to anyone thinking of visitig this part of the South West

Wonderful site

Even by Caravan Club standards, this site is exceptional.  The facilities are spotless and even the plants and flowers are attended to daily.  We are a family of 5 and were staying for May half term, yet surprisingly, the site was not full.  There is a great variety of pitches, an excellent play area and field, a paddling pool and even a games room.  You are in the middle of the countryside yet close to Torbay and Totnes.  Stoke Gabriel is the nearest village and that was very pretty.  The children loved the crabbing there too.  The wardens were extremely hard working but always very friendly.  All in all, it was a great experience and we will look forward to a return visit one day.

Glorious site in glorious Devon

Stayed here mid May. Beautiful site, friendly wardens who keep this site immaculate, peaceful but close to amenities. Had a wonderful stay, only drawback was having to leave! Will definitely return to this unspoilt part of Devon

a beautiful 10 days in Devon

Just returned from 10 days at Ramslade - site as excellent as ever - no, its even better! The idea of having tubs of fresh herbs growing by reception is wonderful - and a big thank you to the person who thought of it! Used different herbs on 3 occasions when cooking our supper. Site immaculate as ever, the wardens constantly working to keep it that way. Peaceful, quiet - great location for exploring the area of Today, Babbacombe, Dartmouth etc. Lovely to walk into Stoke and enjoy the river. And the fish & chips are fantastic! Great big pieces of thick cod in light crispy batter......need I say more! Ramslade - well worth a visit!

7th visit, still great

One of our favourites. Spotlessly clean, very friendly wardens. Great for exploring South Devon. Two stays already this year and will be back again. Useful bus service right outside the gate.

Easter 2015

As usual this is a fantastic site, wardens are really helpful and the entire site is very clean and tidy. Great for visiting Torquay, Brixham and Paington, the village of Stoke Gabriel is a short walk away. The latest in many visits to this site, will be back again I am sure.

First Visit

We stayed at Ramslade for the Easter period. The site is as expected from Club Sites, clean, neat and tidy. The hard standing pitches seem larger than usual, but this maybe due to the light stone covering. However only one of the toilet blocks was available for the period, but did not cause problems as the site was not fully occupied. The wardens were most amenable and obviously take great pride in the site. The access road narrows in places and is not wide enough for vehicle travelling in opposite directions, but there are plenty of passing places. Currently the A380 is being upgraded at Newton Abbot and led to a serious delay on the Thursday afternoon. For the return journey we travelled via Totnes to get onto the A38. I don't know if the site is suitable for children but there is a play area. We undoubtedly will return.
